Joined: April 2006 Posts: 972 Location: PDX | So, i finally broke down and had my wife teach me how to use her digital camera. Which amused her to no end, and i had to endure her taunts about being a Ludite and the next step was going to be a cell phone. Anyway, i took some pictures of a couple of my guitars and thought i would post them in the gallery but they are over the 100k size limit. Is there a way around this? Can i change the size of the file some way? Or something else? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! _____ gh1

Enter 25% for Vert and Horizontal and save the pic. When you go to open the next pic you can hover the mouse over the one you just saved and it will tell you the pixel size. Make adjustments as needed. If you have a MAC there's probably an icon that does the whole thing.

It has a nice little drop down menue that shows the size and you can click "resize" and plug in a number. I use 500 and then it will automatically adjust the other direction. If it is still over 100k, I drop it down a little more. When we got our Nikon, I tried using the program that came with it, but had way too many problems figuring it out. It's one of those that has way too many features I don't need and uses language that doesn't make sense to me. My wife wiped out a bunch of pictures with it. If you can figure out the software that came with the camera, you might be able to use it to downsize the pictures. If I can do it, anyone can.
