Iffy brings up a good topic (this has probably been discussed a hundred times already - but what the hell!) - what is on everyone's short list? The Ovations (or Adamii) that everyone would like to acquire in the short term. Not the dream list, but what you would pick up now if you could.

Mine are:

UKII
2005 Collectors

That's it... I'm a simple man (or so my wife says!)

We've got similar tastes, CL.

But I'm half way there - I've got an '05 already. This weekend, I'm gonna start workin' on AJ for one of his UKII's.

That would pretty much do me for the guitar collection.

For now....

An 05 would be nice, but the last 2 were too extravagant, so now it's just a long list in terms of how much time there well be till the next one.

My '08 Collectors (only 50 more sleeps) forms the main part of my short list, but I'd like to get a 12 string Adamas I one day. Lots of broccoli to annoy Muzz. Will have to wait a bit until I get a "real" job.

Brad, if that list were any shorter the header and footer lines would be touching.

1) Another Adamas SSB, so I could just leave it at church (the amp and effects board are already stored there) and not have to haul one from the bandroom, which then means I could ride my scoot back and forth;

2) The Tak 50th when they make it (this is more long term);

3) A Hamer neon sign; and

4) A Trace Velocette 2-10" amp just like the one Miles has.

When my Adamas Custom 12 string arrives and with the recent acquisition of the ShinyBowl JW, my Ovation/Adamas list will be complete...

Any other guitars coming in would be other Brands.

Just wrote three checks for tuition this week, so the short list is stuff like bread and milk! But by year's end we might could make way for something like a Breadwinner in fixer-upper condition. There are a few stomp boxes on the short list, including a Boss RC-2 or RC-20XL Loop Station, and an Aphex Acoustic Exciter.

Well, there are 2 on my very very short list right now. One is the GC 1127-4 in the capable hands of the mothership right now having a new neck and bridge put on, which should have an ETA of about 3 wks;

The other is an Elite 6768 which is in the hands of a capable local luthier for a fret redressing, and other assorted minor ailments. ETA is about 1 month.

Since they're not in my clammy little hands at the moment, I consider them short list items.
