Just throwing this out there to see if anyone was interested in trading their natural finish 1768 (or other deep bowl cutaway Elite) for my 2005 Collector's model that's in as-new condition.

I would also consider selling for $600 plus shipping to the lower 48. There is a really nice custom Elite on Craigslist right now that I would love to have, but they don't want to trade!

Yes it was....

And $600 is a steal for an 05C.

no kidding....$600 is a great price!

I sold mine for $1000 (though it was a few years ago.....and the check was hot....so I never got paid, just ripped off)!

This has got to be the longest for sale post ever. Please someone contact the Guinness people.

Such a great guitar, I can't imagine it being so hard to move.

This thread is the very definition of perseverance! These are excellent guitars! It boggles my brain that it's still available.

That's for sure. FWIW, I tried a few months ago, but now I've got my eye on a nice 1537-4...

Edwin,

He's been selling it for like 5 years now. If you buy it from him, you'll ruin the longest running OFC sale post ever.

Thank you for that information. I feel however It is my duty, nay my sacred quest to end this streak. I just hope the guitar is not cursed in some way or has a giant crack in the back of it. Let's just end this already! I'm just trying to do my part as a relatively new OFC Member.
Support would be appreciated.

Keep trying, Edwin. It will be worth it. I can't help you with contacting the seller, though. I don't think he frequents the site much and may not check his PMs very often. His wife probably deletes any email about guitars like mine does.

There is something very fishy about that guitar sale.

If he really wanted to move it on, he could've done so ages ago. The '05 is one of Ovation's finest moments and shouldn't take much effort to sell.

It would sell on eBay first try. I doubt he's even tried to sell it anywhere else other than here. He only comes here to bump.

It's ironic that he wants to trade it on a 1768. I had to choose between an '05 and a 1768, which one to keep, which one to feeBay?

For me it wasn't a hard choice. The '05 stayed.

Edwin, I really hope this works out for you. They are gorgeous guitars.
