Since Ovation/Adamas is morphing into a custom only shop this may be the last opportunity to buy a production model Adamas with textured top and bowl ring top attachment. The guitars are new with full factory warranty. they all come with the ovation hardshell case. If interested your price at this time is $1699.99 shipped in the continental usa. These will not last. It is the end of an era. contact me at alpepATlostartvintagedotcom replace AT with @ and DOT with . act fast

As my first Adamas, it was a nice way to become familiar with the line. Great tone, particularly lower end and midrange, which makes it superb for solo instrumentals when you have no bass or keyboards backing you up. It also is an excellent traveler, nearly bullet proof to temperature and humidity fluctuations. Here I am playing at an outdoor wedding in Mendocino four years ago. ![]()

Let me see if I got this right, a new single epi textured top Adamas with all the bells and whistles for the price of a Custom Legend? Uh, YEAH those'll last awhile. Thanks Al for offering those here on the OFC. You know my shipping address.

Those things are just bling, anyway, and don't affect the sound of the guitar. I played the one-offs at the Roundback Roadshow, and they sounded identical to the 08C, which is a stonking great guitar. Anybody thinking of plunging into the Adamas world should stop thinking. That's less than the price of most used ones, and it comes with lifetime warranty. Get one. Now.

Edit: now I see that it says -5 in the title of the thread. Maybe that's where I got the idea there was only one color available.

I used to claim that I was a "wood top" kinda guy. But lately, what I'm mostly playing is the OFC slothead (ding!) and Big Blue (my Adamas I 12 string). I could easily live with just those two guitars......

I retired my 1681 from the road about 13 years ago. You guys have seen the road case so it's pretty obvious that she dodged quite a few bullets in her time. I had a few acoustic venues to play in Texas this past June and decided to take her with me for the first time in ages. I had forgotten her ability to turn the heads of many purist's who think they hate all roundback's. Now she's chewing on my butt to take her out more often... This A-II series is truly one of the finest all around instruments that ever left the MS. Get 'em while you can.
