I didn't do the search and I know somewhere on here is a list of how rare each color is but, if I recall, isn't blue the most rare?

Great price for the Breadwinner. You hardly ever see the blue ones. Somebody buy this so I can stop thinking about it!

IF I wanted another electric guitar this would be gone.

I am tempted to have Dan snag it for me just to resell for twice the price in a year when the economy is better.

Blue is definately the rarest. Like less than 10 rare if memory serves. I have owned 4 of them.

I would imagine there's more than 10. I know where 2 are right now and they're with the original owners.

Thanks, Weaser. The Reds made it a year early, but they still are a better team than they showed.

Only 10 blue Breadwinners, Miles? Love it!

It's the color of the Partridge Family.

Nice grab Jack.

A lot of people don't like the blue but I always thought it was really cool.

Hope you enjoy it.

I think there were more than 10 blue.I have owned three in my years of collecting Ovations.I think the real number is 50-100 blue breads.I remember asking an ovation employee that question years ago when i bought my first one.I have never seen one with the small humbuckers. All the ones i have seen have had the single coils..

I'd be curious if anyone remembers the numbers cause I've seen way more PF-22's and Ultra GP's than I have seen Blue Breadwinners. Also as example, I had four (I remembered another one I had I didn't mention above). I think at least one I had came from Sam, and I have seen two of the four I had listed and sold on ebay more than once. I think the one in this thread may be even be one of them.

If the blue pickguard does not completely surround the bridge pickup (the area between the pickup and the bridge missing) then it may have been one of mine. I sold at least one in that area.

Anyway... my point is... they are very rare and regardless of the number produced, only a very few are in circulation.

Again... good catch.

Very cool guitar! Congrats Jack! I'm glad you got this. If had still been available by the time I got home from work I would have bought it, and I already promised not to buy any more guitars this year!

So congratulations and thanks!

The seller just dropped off the Breadwinner. It's a beauty. Serial #881. Can't wait to play it tonight.
