For anyone that may be interested ...

1537 ... Oh yeah, not mine.(no case)

If you could get it for that $250, one could be tempted to do the top job yourself. A lot depends on if that crack is all the way through or not. Could be just full of dirt ???

Gosh...I'd buy that in a heart beat for $250.00...I'll bet that crack would be fixed for well under $100.00...I could drive and pick it up as well...but, I spent every dollar I didn't have on another geetar recently that I think is going to be pretty cool in itself (aint that right Vince).

Agree, all depends if it is a varnish or a wood top crack. Norse... only 45 minutes away from your place.

Finish crack or wood crack, for 250 bones I don't think it matters on a 1537... definitely watching this one!

I would bet that crack is all the way through the wood. And on another note, doesn't this guy own a set of wire cutters? I guess for 250 you could afford to buy a new set of strings and properly install them, forget about the crack and just play it.

Mother would do a wonderful job on that guitar--that's how bad Gertrude's split was before they did their usual incredible job on it; even with the cost of the repair (say it ran you $200 or so for the refurbish), where else are you gonna get all that mojo for $700?
Trust me, if I didn't have money tied up for a certain special trip to South Dakota, all y'all would be wondering which one of us pulled the trigger.

Certainly worth the asking price.

What's going on in Phoenix? Seems like everyone is selling their roundbacks.

I want to know how all those roundbacks ended up in Phoenix in the first place?

I've only sold a few locally, and none were a natural finish 1537.

Anyone here biding on this? I thought I'd ask before throwing my hat in the ring. It's not THAT important to me except as a project. But I will bow out if someone here wants it. If you're shy about answering here, PM me.

It always bothers me when people agree not to bid against each other, it smacks of collusion.

I think that this qualifies as a "anyone want that last oyster" situation. I've not bid on items that someone else here indicated they were pursuing. But watch out if I'm jonesing...

Not meant to be. Gave it my best shot. Hope the seller will be satisfied. It was $125.00 below his BIN figure.

If history repeats itself(and it DOES), I'm sure there WILL be others.

Good luck.

There was just a beauty 1537 with no issues on ebay yesterday that didn't last long, the buy-it-now was $750. They accepted an offer of $675
