Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | OK, here's the story. As most of you probably know, I was the one who got serial # 1 of the OFCII. Al let me "buy on approval", and although the guitar is stunningly beautiful (the pictures don't do it justice), it just doesn't work with my style of playing. Flysig just mentioned yesterday that the 2080, (which this guitar is similar to) is great with a pick, but fingerpickers need to have an agressive attack to get the volume out of the treble strings. MY fingerpicking has been described as "delicate" and "gentle". PLUGGED IN, it is the finest sounding guitar I have EVER heard, but I only plug in a few times a year. So - I offer it up for sale here. I paid $4,000 shipped (ConUS), and that is what I am asking. This guitar DOES come with full warranty, that great case, and all documentaion. I could have put it up on Ebay, but I want this to stay in the family. If you have trade goods, we can talk about that too. Yeah, I know, pictures. You've already seen what it looks like, my camera is giving me trouble, and suffice it to say, this is brand new. Oh, and it has the standard, not wide, neck. Thanks. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Good luck with the sale. OFC-II is an amazing guitar. I would go as far as saying that it out sounds the original OFC Slothead. If you want an example of the very best that Ovation can offer, you look no farther than the OFC-II. |

Just a thought cause I always thought the 47RI sounded excellent as a finger picker. |

I play finger style myself, but years of working with my hands have left them less articulate. The wider neck improves my chances of landing on one string rather than two. Now if I could find one of the OFCI widenecks..... |
