As much as I love my '05, I really miss the visual aspect of the Elite epaulets. I'm posting this to see if anyone out there has an Elite with the following characteristics that they would like to trade for my '05.

- Deep bowl (or deep contour bowl)
- Cutaway
- Non-OP24 preamp (ideally Optima or OP-X)
- Natural finished top
- Rosewood board (ebony would be ok though)
- Maybe a special edition (1768C, 1768-EMSX, etc)...could include cash for one of these

If someone had a 1547 or CE768, I would include some cash with the trade for those. Here is a pic, and I can provide more if interested.

Also, I know it's a long shot, but I would absolutely love to trade for an Adamas 1581, and I could definately include cash with this trade.

I can't believe you still haven't sold that '05.

(I still can't believe you want to sell your '05.)

I had one and sold it... then realized my mistake and bought another one. I won't make that mistake again.

2005 is a great guitar. I used to own one. I don't think you'll have any trouble selling it.

I also posted this on the AGF, but are there any other sites where I might have luck (sites that might cater to O's a little)?

Why don't you just put it on ebay and sell it to the highest bidder.

I don't use Paypal so I can't sell on eBay. Bump again, or I'll sell it for $800.

Bump again...I would consider selling at $750, because I would really like to buy Vince's 1768C!

I'm very interested in this, just what I've been looking for really to replace my old ultra deluxe, but I'm a bit nervous buying something online like this. Seems odd no one has taken it yet? Is it that people want the epaulets like yous?

Do you have more pics? Something to convince me to take the risk... :)

Welcome aboard gitRhero. Some people tend to be very selective when it comes to the particular models they want. Another factor is the sluggish economy. This is a very high quality instrument though, and being that it's a collector's model, means that the highest quality materials and workmanship have gone into building it. If I didn't already have too many guitars, and a wife that is looming over my shoulder everytime I get online, I would have snatched this deal up a long time ago myself. As far as "on line" purchases go ... This is NOT Ebay. The majority of the members here have proven to be very trustworthy, and knowledgeable of the guitars they sell. I have been a member for a while now, and I have not heard of even one (1) person feeling they've been screwed on a purchase or trade here. Good luck on your decision!

Thanx bvince, I forgot to mention it was you who suggested this in my other thread, so thanks.

What is the 2005 neck like? I like the ebony board, definitely a +.

Thanx MusicMishka, I used to have an Elite Special (S778) that I had to sell. I loved the 'V' shaped unvarnished neck on it, played so nice. Looks wise though I don't really care, I just want a good playing and sounding git for recording.
