Yep my partner has a nice 12 string and mine is the best sounding hands down but it is worth to much. I have a shot of it in the members section but that does not do it justice. This guitar has a perfect neck and the body has no marks what so ever. How ever whom ever owned it before me must have had long fingernials and there is just a little finish and wear on the tips of the lower leafs. You don't see it right a way but when you get close it is obvious. Other than that it has the original electronics with the walnut knobs and the original case that is in typical used but good condtion. I am just testing the waters before I do something with it and I am not all that sure I will. But for right now this week or so I will consider letting one of the members in here buy it for $2250.00 shipped to you price. Now considering this is original and not one of the repro's and a top frequency of ????? 97 ??? This is not something you will find in the guitar shop around the corner. I will get the serial number tonight when I get home. It is of course signed. And I will try and get a better shot of it as well. Randy

My 1688 is without a doubt the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever had the pleasure of holding. That is also a very good price. Hopefully if you decide to go through with the sale, someone will snap it up!

And the price is good because there is that slight finger nail scratching on the leaf tips. I will go through with it if someone in here wants it. I do not want to sell it bad enough to run it elsewhere. This one is good enough it may not need to go that route. This, so far, will remain a members only deal. Believe me it is killing me to even type this. I know when I sell this I will most likely never get the chance to replace it. But the money will go into some good equipment. This equipment won't be worth crap ten years from now but that guitar will be worth more than this. That's a fact. Randy

It is the living on the street if I invest more than the 20 grand I already have tied up in music equipment pain that I don't want to deal with. I have my Custom Hamer 8 string bass up for sale as well on the Hamer site. If that sells I may be able to salvage this great 12 string. And that would be fine with me. Believe me I would not do this but this thing I have going is really sounding good you wait until I get one of those Roland bass pedals set up to run the Korg. We will have a Pink Floyd Set like nobodys heard two guys do before! Well maybe other than Cliff...????? I am singing Limelight now and doing it acoustically. I know this sounds nuts but it actually sounds great! So for money needs.... I can use three nice Acoustics all tuned differently. Then if I can upgrade the equipment... Bigger PA, Sub bass pedals one for me and a set for my partner, some rack effects a second synth for sounds then we can go Three piece and sound like Four or Five! And if we go four or five we will sound like ten! I want to do some old Genesis. and we have one original that is a kick ass screamer. So I am selling to help this moveing along. Hey ya only live once and I am to old to do this again. So I am going for it You guy's know anyway.... Randy

And, some Adamas II's have gone far higher than that. If I had seen one, I would have gone for it (maybe I need glasses). Have a new Adamas I built by the factory and expect about $2,400-2,500 on your credit card to a dealer (as well as a long wait). I had no problem buying the 1688-7 (yr 2003) from Chris 8/2004 for a little over $2,000. Had OP-50 w/XLR. Later traded the 1688-7 back to him for his 12/2004 1688-8. And, that wasn't an early Adamas I.

There was one a few months back in red a beautiful Adamas 1 that went for $1,100 but the person selling it had a feedback of 0 and She did not answer my emails until the auction was over? She said she did not know people would be asking questions? Duhhhhhh...!!!!! FLuke!!!! Thought it was a scammer.... I did not bid and I am sure a lot of guy's did not bid because of the same reasons. Someone got a hell of a deal. The Rest all go over $2000.00. Hard to reasearch these on the bay they come up so infrequently you have to have records that span a whole year or two to do it well. I had Al quote me an Adamas 1 Bass and that was right around the $3000.00 mark and that is Al. He is the best dealer to get a price from. Al has Adamas 1's now that are more than what I am asking. I think the $2500.00 number is actually low for the factory. I paid $2500.00 for my 1587-7 from Al, used. So again you take what you find on the internet and you take what the rare guitar dealers have and you come up with a price. I figured around $2200???? If I sell the Custom Hamer 8 Bass I won't be looking to ever sell this one. Hell I can take the octave strings off this and use it like a 6 anyway if needed?? Now that's class! I really do not want this to sell. But perhaps there is a member who does not want to wait two years for one to come up on ebay and watch it go this high anyway, and who wants it. If I wanted to garage sale it; I would set the price at $1850.00 and watch it fly. Now P.I. if you wanted it I'd probably come down a little for you. I did not want to make someone upset about my guitar sale. If your defending Michael or something don't you worry, Mike set a fair price on one of his Legends and I bought it. He has another that is Mint and it is a fair price also. Now my guitar is fairly high but this is the way these old ones go....If you want a great deal on a high end 12 string Ovation take a look at what Al has going right in here this week. Now that is a nice guitar in a more realistic price range. But hey what do I know. .. "The Pain I am feeling is the effort I put forth, whilst I break through the wall of ignorance that surrounds me.... Alas.... so that I may free myself to embrace the knowledge that awaits me" .... A lot of the guitars I currently have for sale are on the high side but that is what it will take to pry them out of my hands. If they don't sell, I won't shed a tear!

And I caught Hell for it so this is my pentance. Well this and the fact that I bought a guitar from the seller at a price I thought was right on the money myself. I guess I was scarred he would be overpriced? Foolish of me. But I have been corrected in fine style. Now $1600.00 that is not acurate and a little unfair but the point is understood. Randy

The Schizo Breadwinner I have on Fleabay right now may be considered high by some but the proof is in the last 5 minutes of the auction. I have to appreciate the amount of energy you are throwing into this project!

An Adamas I 12 string, in good condition, should sell for anywhere between $2200-$2600 on the'bay. I personal wouldn't sell mine for anything less than about $3500. Randy's price for OFC'ers is a very fair price.

Mike I sure wish I had the chance to buy that nice 12 string deacon you sold a while back. Other than that I am done with looking for electrics. That deacon 6 I have is the Cat's Ass. Nice guitars I love the way they hang and how the necks feel when you play. I am trying to sell an absolutly wonderful Hamer bass that Al brokered for me a while back. If this sells I will pull the Adamas back into my herd. Randy
