I have a few Ovations I need to sell
2005 Collector's (FRG) in perfect shape- $900
1994 6718 Elite Standard in Sunburst- $400
1981 1117 Legend- Excellent condition- $300
Current TS012 Trekker -$150

The Collector's is in as new condition. The 6718 has a perfect top, just a few nicks on the back of the neck, but plays ansd sounds excellent, and the electronics work perfectly. The 1117 is in superb condition with just a small (less than an inch) finish check behind the bridge. Certainly in excellent + condition. The Trekker is as new (comes with the bag and the little chair. I have pics of the Collector's and 6718 in hte gallery.

Is the trekker sold? If not are you firm on the price? What would the shipping be to NJ zip 07621? I've never played one. How does the sound compare to a Martin backpacker or Baby Taylor?

Baby Taylor is best sounding of the 3 but I don't know how they stack up price wise.

I have a Martin Backpacker and an AA12 which is a smaller cheaper cousin of the Trekker and there is no comparison in sound and playability. The Ovation being far better.

Baby on the way, "guitar warehouse" is no more (the kid has got to sleep somewhere), and I have way too many guitars.

Hurry up and teach him/her to play. Mothers love it when you buy "educational toys" for your kids. "Yes Honey, I know it's only his second birthday but think how far ahead of the other kids his development will be if he has his very own Stratocaster."

Elite is still available. Have a couple of interested parties, though. I'll post some pics of the Legend. It is a really pretty guitar. BTW, I also have a couple of Seagulls for sale, a S6+ GT Burst with the Quantum EQ and an S12+. Interested? Let me know.

Zchord. Is the Trekker still available, and is it a new one without p/u, or a slightly older one with p/u?

zchord, tell your wife that the baby needs music, even before birth and you need to help it bond to each of your guitars. Classical stuff, though. No grunge rock.
I'm at the other end of the spectrum. Empty nesters with big house, basement and 5 car garage. Now that we have room for me to collect guitars and Porsches, my wife wants to downsize.

Glenn,
The 6718 does come with the OHSC. I won't be able to take pics of it until late tonight, and have a guy ready to send a Paypal payment this afternoon. It really is in great shape

Waskel,
This is the Trekker w/o the pickup.

The 1117 Legend is still available and is a beautiful vintage Ovation piece. It is in incredible condition for being a 1983 guitar. Pics are now in my gallery.

It seems the 2005 Collector's has gotten somewhat of a bum rap on this board as of late. I think it is an incredible performance guitar, and has great features. I wish I could afford to keep it. I am selling mine for the price of a new Standard Balladeer LX, but you get the Englemann top, abalone rosette, gloss neck, Countour bowl. A lot of guitar for the money. I'm trying, man!

Just to share my recent market research....I was looking for a travel guitar earlier in the year. I decided I was going to be open minded and subdue my Ovation obsession. I was able to A/B the Baby Taylor, Martin Backpacker and the Trekker. I bought the Trekker. The Taylor was a close second but the Trekker was at tad louder. When you concider the road worthiness of Ovations, the choice was easy.
Remember..they are what they are. They are much less that any full size guitar.
And $150 is a good deal.

Travel Guitars - I have played the Tacoma Papoose and I would like to play a Breedlove (Korean) Passport. These are the "A" scale instruments. Any one play one of these?
