My hope is that it goes unoticed. I did ask some of the right questions though.

Good thing that most on those here usually have the OFC and Fleabay open at the same time!

Different guitar, but does this label say "Korea"?

Waskel,
Your photo is clear. The other one was taken by a blind guy with a cell phone camera.
makes you wanna bid right away, doesn't it?

Actually, the second one is off ebay as well. I have just never seen an Ovation label so devoid of information. Even my old Ultra said "Ultra"!

He also has a stuffed fish for sale by a well-known Colorado taxidermist. I don't know any taxidermists and would prefer to keep it that way. Good quality stuff to go along with his pictures and spelling.

Resonator, if you are thinking about buying a viper, there are several OFC members (including myself) which have them for sale.

It might cost a little more than the ebay ones but you will usually be getting a near mint to pristine conditioned viper/viper III.

oh yeah.....and most importantly, from someone who has a reputation that you can trust.

I'm still lost, sorry. Too much time in the sun today. ESPN College Gameday broadcast, mega tailgate party and then for 3-1/2 quarters the Trojans were our bitch. Oh well. I'm fried. Dave

Well I had a great weekend! Escape with SWMGA (She Who Must Get Away), Preacher Deluxe parts are back, package of Walnut for TRCs is in and I won the bibbing on the Viper body that started this trash-talk-wish-I-had-a-Slothead-too post! :D

Now have a Viper body, Breadwinner neck, Korean seymour duncan pups and a drawer full of tools!

Chatman - can I have my soldering license back - on parole of course?

Hmmmm....I am showing 2 days left on the auction and that you are currently the high bidder.

Did the seller end the bibbing early and forget to end the auction?

S28 is on top of it all today! My bad.

I did win a Viper body this weekend and I jumped the connection on that one. We'll see what happens on this one. I don't have a lot of love or trust in this auction. If it had a case I'd go $150 and throw the dice.

Mike - phrasing like this will not get you your soldering license back. :D

I'm willing to consider a provisional license with the following dcaveats: no soldering at night and the iron can only be plugged in while accompanied by a responsible second party.

Oh yeah, and write this on the board 100 times:

"Bigger gob does not equal better job"

One last pointer Woody-man, soldering is merely one more manifestation of the karmic balance in the universe. Become one with your preamp. Feel the flow of the force as you approach your circuit. Then, before you begin, get yourself in tune with your surroundings by remembering the solderers mantra:
Heat on
Heat off
Heat on
Heat off
Heat on
Heat off

I'm new to the board and I'm the guy what bought the Viper. It is much, MUCH better looking than the picture represents. Only a couple of dings on the body and of course the neck break but it was repair incredibly well.

I am lookng for a bridge pickup and pickguard to bring it back to original.

It plays incredibly. I only cleaned it up, changed strings and reset intonation.

Any help locating a pup and guard will be appreciated.
