Ovation put a mid-depth Bowl on it and a 8T Transparent Blue Finish. Only cost me $1200. With this sale I will no longer own a guitar or an Ovation. Pics are in my gallery.A few ofc members saw and played this guitar during the 2004 OFC Factory tour and jam. She's in good shape, the neck is straight and true. I really hate to do it but she's got to go. And she needs to go pretty quick. $875.00 shipped.I'll close now in tears

I may very well have to take a second job as well.all of this has just sprung up from family medical expenses. we need to get a handle on this thing now before we find ourselves drowning in more debt.

It feels like a hole of which you just can't get out. Actually, I've been there twice for that same reason. The first time was 11 years ago. I sold a sports car for almost no money because I believed that I needed what little I could get. Looking back, I realize that I never should have sold the car because the money wasn't enough to make a difference. Last year, I thought about selling guitars to pay medical bills, but decided that in the short run, it wouldn't make that much of a dent. Instead, I worked more and harder, and we got the bills paid off. And I still have the guitars. Get a second job and keep the guitar. The joy the music will bring you will comfort you and your family. And it a couple of years, you'll wonder why you ever thought of selling it. All our prayers are with you......

Nine years ago my daughter was run over by a drunk driver while she was crossing the street on foot. We were called to the hospital and told that as next of kin we needed to sign a release so they could operate. She was 19 at the time, not living at home and had no insurance. What they did not tell me was that I was also signing patient responsibility forms. My wife and I were held responsible for over 700,000 in medical bills. Really screwed up my early retirement plans but what price do you put on a family members health! Refinanced the house, cashed in all my retirement savings, used both kids college funds and paid off the debt.....but early retirement plans went out the window. Went from steak and champagne to red beans and rice with water! Things will get better. Possessions are merely possessions and can be replaced. Good health is much more precious and important. Prayers are with you.

Of course our taxes are higher than in the US but when you need medical help it is reassuring to know that the balance of your life doesn't get upset. Best Wishes

I know how much you love this guitar and know you must be in a really rough spot to have made the decision you have. I hope things work out. Moody sounds like he's got a good plan, maybe you can try alternate means to raise the cash. You and your family are in my prayers. hang in.

Put the guitar in your closet and do what you must to get through this season. Sometimes things need to seem impossible so that we have to ask for answers from above. If you do end up selling and end up without a guitar for a while don't be afraid to ask for a loaner. Dave's got so many he won't notice if one is missing! ;)

That being said, if the situation develops to where you have no other option but to LetItGo, perhaps I can furnish you with a "loaner" : ![]() Ultra 1515D Bought it (used) for gigs, but pickup/preamp are "touchy". Relegated it to a beach/boat guitar when I got my Legend12 for gigs. I discovered that a black guitar isn't optimal for beaches OR boats. I now have a lighter, more compact Pacemaker12 for that purpose, so the Ultra hangs idle most of the time. If things get too bad and yer stuck "guitar-less", lemme know and we'll work something out till you're back on your feet again . . . .
