This has already brought in a good opening bid, but then it looks to be almost mint.

Looks like the top has either been refinished or that guitar has never seen sunlight.

So? Still looks great. And I like that it got it's opening bid of $850. It's worth 3 times that.

Hmm, 3 days to go and only one bid so far. I'm a tad reluctant to bid since this is the seller's first auction. I've had very good experiences on ebay so far, I wouldn't want my streak to end now.

Does anyone know who taddym is, the guy who bid first? I kind of feel like bidding just so he doesn't get this 1537 so cheap. This person recently won an adamas in another auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3780973978&...

beating some standingovation character. Funny, it doesn't seem like he or the seller have yet left any feedback for each other. It's almost been a month since that auction ended.

Well, the guitar is in Canada now.....

Boy, it's good to see the price of a 1537 break a grand.

This guitar's serial number is 32 past mine. They were probably in the factory together. If it's as good as my guitar, then it's worth every penny paid and more.

Moody, We already have Al's working its way here.

This one on eBay appears to be worth going after. The bid is in. Let's see how it stands.

I didn't know you bought one from Al. You're gonna like it a lot. If you're a church goer, come on over on Sunday and hear mine. It's in Aliso Viejo.

Moody, Coast Hills?

Stephen was telling me about the one that Al had and I applied for adoption.

Hey Jeff, Yours up for sale on the Board is what started it. I wanted to add a 1537 and Stephen told me I was nuts looking for one with absolutely no issues. I am going through all my stuff, trading up to pristine versions of what I want to keep, adding some on my list, and finally letting go of stuff I don't have room for.

The price you are asking is a bargain.

Noah,
Good luck! Pristine 1537s are tough to come by. This one on ebay looks as good as any I have seen, if it is honestly described.

My other 1537 is near mint. You might have seen it on my home page I recently posted.

Be interesting to see if Benjun or someone else makes a last second run at it.

I am sure there will be a last second run at this one.
But at the right price, this would be an excellent guitar to have down the road to trade with.

I'm pretty sure Benjun won't make another try for it. ;)

Whatever price it ends up being, I'm sure it's a great deal, just not mine...I mean his...I mean. . .

thank you, "we's" are happy...

just couldn't see it going to Japan or France

It's the sibling to Moody's 1537.
When it gets here, Moody can keep it for a while and compare the twins. He'll tell us if the twin raised in Canada speaking French, has a different voice than its sibling that never left home.
