In a strange way, I kinda like it. I can hear it with a good bass line, some harmony on the chorus, a tasteful bit of lead guitar....Then again, it could go in the video trash can. I have a VERY thick skin. Tell me what you all think. Bad Company

Do you think this song works done acoustically in this kinda minor/ alt tuning, or is just a little too slow and weird? In other words, would this work at an open mic, or would I lose the audience?

I also remember Jose Feliciano doing his empassioned version of Light My Fire...and how it just burried the Doors version. That's how this makes me feel. Feels a little bit like David Crosby's late '60's/early '70's work.

I agree: like Layla (only more effective IMO). I also think that the slow delivery showcases your singing as it floats over the open chords... something only really possible on a nice acoustic. Bravo!

If anyone besides Clapton would have committed that blaspheme, they would have been drawn, quartered and hung out to dry. I realize I may be in the minority on this, but I consider Layla 2.0 one of the worst covers of a classic I have ever heard, by anyone. It's right up there with making a movie with a lizard-esque monster in New York and calling it Godzilla. It's just wrong.
