I sent the owner an email trying to find out what year it is. Thanks for your input. I have missed a lot of good deals lately. I don't want to miss another one.

Sounds wonderful in DADGAD, can even tune her down into what I call "C-GAD" (DADGAD a step lower.) Talk about rumble! If you haven't already guessed, I just love mine, always have, always will--other guitars may come and (maybe, once in a blue moon) go, but Gertrude remains put. --Karen

Good luck! Mike | ||

Paid $100 for it, but it truly had been beaten up -- spiderweb of finish cracks, something very strange done to the neck, stuff like that. Still plays and sounds nice though. $150 souds like a real bargain if it's in any kind of shape.

Top has a sizeable bump south of the bridge and the tail has been broken off and repaired (epoxy is great stuff). But for traveling a good bit of the world in my sordid youth — Mediterranean Europe, Caribbean, US East Coast, she has held up very well. All that, great 'aging' of the top and — still, 39 years later, there is not a single crack in the finish. And yes, it still plays great.

From what I have gathered from his emails, he might be quit a bit older and not real fast on the computer. Not sure why the anti virus is catching that pic. I scanned the pic when I downloaded it from his email and nothing was found. I did resize it with a linux resizer. Maybe windows didn't like that. Not sure. I will email him again and give him my phone # and hope for the best. I'm ready to go pick it up!

His bride might be able to translate it fer ya. Like your site and love your attitude! And, oh yeah, KAs rule...
