Just when I thought I had a reasonable rendition of JT's "You've Got a Friend" I ran across this:

Wow!! Nice. I think there are a few on the OFC that could do a decent rendition too. I'm thinking 1 in particular with the initials DB.

Hey, Rich. That's Kim Chan. Isn't he great? He's a real inspiration to me, as he is self-taught!

Here's another of my favorites, Steve Cloutier, also self-taught. I am a big fan of his.
He not only plays great, but he also makes his own guitars, like the beauty he plays in this video:

Ain\'t Misbehavin\' Performed by Steve Cloutier

He doesn't make them anymore, but you can see a page on his site dedicated to his guitar making days at:

Steve Cloutier\'s Guitars

He is funny as heck and a very talented man. He likes cats, too.

;)

Alan, I'll let that slide because, after all, you're only a man. :D Believe it or not, a woman, especially a female guitarist, CAN like a guy for his MUSICAL talent, without, um... you know. (Now, can anybody get this guy's phone number for me? )

I love cats....

They're delicious.

Sorry, just had to... and for those that don't know, we have 4 cats... can't ever have too much... I better not go there.. :)

But seriously what is it about cats and guitar cases. I swear a cat can sense an open guitar case from 100 yards while fast asleep. I have actually been in a room with NO cats anywhere nearby, opened a case, taken the guitar out and turned around to put it on the wall hanger, and when I turn back around (what 2 seconds tops??) there is a cat in the case.

I think Al has the coolest cat that lives in his living room by the fireplace I have ever seen. Darn thing freaked me out EVERY visit for YEARS!!!

I am suspicious of anyone who likes cats. As the Wabbit knows, we have a cat that is very presumptuous. My theory is that cats live to annoy people. They love guitar cases because they love anyplace where their shedding can cause the most annoyance. SWMBO recently bought our cat a bed, thinking that the cat would shed there, but no. It never gets used because the cat would prefer to shed where someone is most likely to want to sit.

I like kittens. Don't care for cats. So I share a little poem:

The problem with a kitten is that
Eventually it becomes a cat.

 Alison, speaking of um, 'cats', I SAW HIM FIRST! :D He lives in Minnesota, which gives you a better shot than me, haha!

Miles, my cat is sitting in my guitar case right now, staring at me!

Not trying to speak for Willa here, but if you can make a girl laugh, you probably have a higher intellect than the average male. (Just kidding guys...)

Miles, Steve's response to you is:

"Tell the guy who says cats are delicious- that I agree. I have 2 cats. One's a fryer (Newman) and the other one is a stewing cat. (Lily) ;-) Besides good eatin', they're affectionate, entertaining AND pleasantly scented!

Lol! I actually DO have some insights...however, it's fun to tweak Willa. You can HEAR her blush !
