Beautiful inlaid epis, nice grain and fingerprint to the top, 5 piece wood edge binding including maple trim, 5 piece neck of walnut, oak and cherry, contour bowl, cherry fretboard unlays, OP-Pro Studio. Sounds and plays like a dream. At Moody's NAMM party I think this was the only guitar that never got put down. ![]()

The headstock overlay has that whole 1537 style about it ... and that cherry is killer. To me, this is the best Ovation Collector to come around in a long time.

I like the idea of using all American materials, and I have heard many good things about Adirondac tops. The individual elements look outstanding in and of themselves, but for some reason the overall appearance of the guitar just doesn't impress me. I don't know what it is, I guess that's just the old personal opinion thing. I'm very happy for those who have an appreciation of it though.

I would have designed it significantly different, but it is what it is. Sounds wonderful. There's uglier guitars that also sound wonderful. The adamas type neck is pretty freaking nice, however.
