Joined: March 2005 Posts: 5567 Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I missed the Pacemaker that I sold last fall to a fellow in Finland...but I was hoping to eventually find an all original 1615-1...then, the week before Christmas I got my chance. A session musician in Nashville decided to let this one go and I was fortunate enough to grab it at an unbelievable price. He even had a new set of strings and new battery installed. Because the severe winter weather, we waited to ship it until Monday. It arrived today in MINT ORIGINAL condition! The entire guitar looks like it came from the factory yesterday. Action, sound, finish, electronics, everything is as new as it gets for a 29 year old. I can't thank Curt enough for a first class transaction and SWMBO for allowing one more 12 string back into the house. I will take better pictures when we have sun and warmth again (it's 15 outside right now: 8 inches of snow with 4 to 8 more on the way tomorrow)...maybe spring... Here are several pic's: and the album on ning... 1981 1615-1 Pacemaker 12 Enjoy!

This had been a cold winter for a lot of people. BTW; If I'd known that beauty was running 40 eastbound I would have tried to high-jack the truck. :D

Dave, I would love to have both of those: I think only one 2080 12 was built and not sure of it's status...I know Mike sold it last year... The U681 is one that being a 12 fret player for so many years I would certainly love...I'm in the same boat there: where to find one for sale... This Pacemaker is so fine...it (as most do) has a bell like sound; man, do I love 'em...my faithful companion for many many years...one truly great guitar! The case had a bunch of funky bumper stickers on it: gone now...but at one point in its life it was flown and the owner used duct tape to keep the latches closed during the flight...now it has the petrified residue left...anybody know how or what to use to remove it? Besides a sander...lol
