Wish I would have saw this earlier. The only thing I did today was dodge the little woman's "honey do it now" list.

I can't go more than 15 miles away from home with all the little rug rats here. The wife has been doing all she can to maintain her sanity, so I have to stay close and do the rescue thing. That's at least until March ... Then it's Ya Whoooooo! FREEEEEEEDOM!

I'm thinkin' ... beach house in North Carolina, guitar playin', wine coolers, maybe a fishing pole with no bait.

I'm in. I will bring one or two guitars and no talent...but I promise to try hard :) . Bitter cold Jam...I like the sound of it. Sounds inviting to all you folks in Fla. It has warmed up and we are now out of single digits.

Michigan in January?
It's 45 degrees here today in Florida and I am literally freezing my tail off. Got the fireplace roaring and the heat turned up. (Does make you want to stick around the house and play guitar, though.)

I'll be there. Looking forward to the bitter cold jam. PM me the particulars as it gets closer. I haven't played an adamas since the 80's (I think the Lions may have been in the playoffs that year) so I am looking forward to this... Have an orange flame T, a VXT, a Patriot A/E and the 2009 koa collector....

Most astute, and accurate. Especially the Hades & Vince Lombardi thing. Didn't much like Detroit, as I recall.

My brother in law lives in Fulton, New York. They made the Today Show with over 4 ft of snow.

I guess the 11 we had yesterday morning isn't that bad after all.

At 65 degrees above zero:
Floridians turn on the heat.
People in Michigan plant gardens.
Done it.

60 above zero:
Californians shiver uncontrollably.
People in Michigan sunbathe.
Done it

50 above zero:
Italian & English cars won't start.
People in Michigan drive with the windows down.
On a sunny spring day? Damn right.

40 above zero:
Georgians don coats, thermal underwear, gloves, wool hats.
People in Michigan throw on a flannel shirt.
Yeah? So? Or maybe a sweatshirt.

35 above zero:
New York landlords finally turn up the heat.
People in Michigan have the last cookout before it gets cold.
I've fired up the grill when its in the 20's many a time. Especially if it's sunny.

Now after this, the list gets kinda silly and has no real bearing on reality.

After 14 1/2 years down here I don't much like cold weather anymore. But at least it's a "DRY COLD" up north. :D

BTW: Weaser, Are you getting any of the snow?

the  cool  thing about the jam is we can also bring ice fishing poles and if we want to get away from the smoking hot guitars for a bit and change it up we can just walk out brads back yard and cut a hole in the canal and ice fish for a while until we cool down from jamming and then come back in and jam again. GWB

Definitely. I'm in that Eastern Ontario snow belt so when they talk about "lake effect", they're talking Oswego, Fulton, Syracuse and East. It's snowed for 11 days straight now and isn't scheduled to stop until the weekend. There's an easy 4' in my front yard. Don't know what I'd do if it wasn't a dry cold.
