Midnight Special: Crazy On You - Heart

Pardon my newbness here but I seek answers from the loremaster kings of Adamas guitars! Which one is it that Nancy has there? Is it one of the original real deals like #47?

Thanks for that video link!

Lol! I wrote in another post that I just learned the intro to that song, but I was talking about the lead guitar intro, not all that fancy stuff Nancy was doing ... I WISH! I can do that little Spanish flavored thing though. I love that song, and Heart is a VERY cool band. Funny to see the style of clothing, especially on the lead guitar player.

Gorgeous guitar, too. I have a 1978 1687-8 and an 1187-247 re-issue. You can see the photos on my Ning site (link below).

The original version of the first OFC Guitar. ;)

Nancy sure got a great plugged in sound out of those two knobber electronics. I wonder where that guitar is now.

I had never seen "Crazy on You" before this link; I think I'll just put my guitars away now and forget that they even exist. Phil Keaggy didn't make me feel this way, watching Jimmy Page in old concerts didn't, either, but... ssssiiiiggghhh; I have a such long way to go.
So...I think I'll go make a cup of tea, eat a slice of pumpkin-pecan loaf, and then get the Princess out and console myself with the new riffs I figured out for "Silent Night."

The irony is that "Crazy On You" as it appears on the LP was recorded using a Martin. Nice playing, none the less.

Diggin this thread up cause lately I find myself thinkin about it more and more.

Don't suppose anyone knows where number 44 ended up? Beal's probably right and it's probably in a closet somewhere... but whose! I'm admittedly a huge Heart fan, and of course admittedly an Ovation fan! Ovation + Heart = Number 44 so it'd be interesting to know who has it and what their story on it is!

You're in Iraq and you're thinking about the guitar? OK...

By the way Beal, I've noted some old ads featuring you and Nancy Wilson. Do you stay in touch with all the celebrities you met before becoming a gas station owner?

Sorry, sorry

Noted the '87 collector "with many war scars" and lost my mind for a minute there.

OK - being in WA and thinking about the guitar makes perfect sense.

Sorry

I would imagine Nancy has a large guitar collection...and it probably includes several O's and A's...
Doubt it will be on the market anytime soon...

Why not custom order one from Al???

I thought maybe povation might have it, but in a dizzying look at his collection it was not to be found.

I can't see a pick in her hand. Is she doing all that strumming with her nails?

Is there a rundown of what's what in Povation's collection somewhere?
