To our friends out east, here's wishing you a safe and warm weekend in light of the predicted snow storm coming your way. Looks like your Christmas will be a white one this year. In whacky Colorado, the snow is gone and the motorcycles are back on the road this week, including mine today.

They're talking 10 - 20" so far... they're ALWAYS wrong, so we'll have to see which side they err on.

Just got my Tak CD in the mail, so I'll have something new to listen to if I'm stranded.

Professor ... I'd move back to Colorado in a heartbeat, if I wasn't here looking after an aging parent.

As of mid afternoon I am hearing the storm may go south of us and we might get an inch or 2.
OR, if it come a bit further north we could get 12" plus!!! Will know better soon!!

They are calling for a foot, here; it's supposed to start in the early morning hours, and I have to work tomorrow morning (banks only close if a state of emergency has been declared--the state's definition and mine definitely do not agree!)
We shall see what the Subie and her studded snowtires are capable of; I've had to go to work in worse, but I lived much closer then.

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
other drivers aren't delightful;
they slither about, oh no,
in the snow, in the snow, in the snow.
But, my Subie is tried and steady,
studded tires at the ready,
and as long as I take it slow,
let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." ;)

44 and sunny here, with a couple of feet of snow 15 miles away on the mountain. I've got lift passes for 4 and daughters are coming home this weekend. I like it here.

I like the lyrics also. Mike I see you guys are getting hammered. Be safe on the roads. Dollywood closed early tonight. Not sure if it will open tomorrow. We have light accumulations right now.

We just made TN tonight, and am looking forward to seeing Capo tomorrow and maybe some snow. Hopefully Music will be able to make it on Monday for a mini jam.

Jim,

We have light snow here right now. I know in the Smokey's there is a lot more.

14 inches of heavy wet snow so far and calling for 6 more; roads are horrible, and everything is canceled including all the church services tomorrow...power so far is still on but w/temps near 20 tonight everything is possible...I bought a generator day before yesterday...I have a feeling I may need it before this winter is over...

If the roads are better by Monday we will rendezvous for a mini jam w/ TJ and Capo Guy Monday night.

12:56, EST; the first flakes have just starting falling--they are spaced several feet apart, and coming down at a very leisurely pace. I suspect these are the fifth column, softening us up for the onslaught to follow. We shall see.....

I just checked the weather report. It looks like Music Mike is in the worst part of the storm right now. Lots of power outages there too, so if we don't hear from him again today that's probably why. Here's hoping all of you stay safe and warm.

Ok... enough snow! Here's something cheerier:

The lights and garland are up, but no decorations yet. Merry Christmas!
