I'm basicly pretty frugal.
I have not gassed for anything since my UTE almost two years ago now.
But friday something came over me.
Come hell or high water I was gonna buy something... anything.

I thought cajone ... that's the ticket. I could get the spend monkey off my back without taking to big a hit. So I bothered Al in the middle of his sickness for a price.
Then I thought about an audio interface to record with my 'puter. Yeah... I'll get both!

Then it happened. On the way to practice with Brian I stopped off at Huber to see if they had anything new. And right there... first in the row of Ovations. My destiny. Paul Huber come in right behind me and says, "The Kaman rep was carrying this around with him and I bought it right out of his samples. Especially because of the blow-out price."

I was there first thing saturday morning and picked it up.
And because I got a guitar, my wife felt she deserved a new puppy.

I does not have the countour bowl like the Sweetwater models but that's okay. I A/B-ed it with all the onther O's there, including a countour bowl, and was more than pleased. Like we have all said, the EliteT gives more bang for the buck that any other O. The cajone and recorder will just have to wait a little longer.
BTW... the boy puppy needs a name. I'm open to suggestions.

"Gasser" or "Octane" or "'T'-bone"?

Congrats on the 'T'!

I can hardly wait for my SW 'T'...

"Elite Tee", "Carbon-Fiber"(for his color), or the old stand-by...
"Scruffy!"

I am patiently waiting for one of the Sweetwater Versions...

Your not gonna beleive this one.
My wife is seriously concidering naming the dog, "Fender".

This EliteT just might need one of Woodys koa TRCs.

Y'all are bad for the rest of us! That is quite the score ... Congrats! A great guitar!

For the puppy ... how about Rex (as in T-Rex)?

Well done on both counts.

I think the puppy should be called SLIPKID since it was slipkid's GAS that ultimately brought the puppy to a new home.

Nice grab Brad!

 VERY NICE Brad .
Paul Huber has a fantastic way of knowing what we want when we come into his House of GAS . He is great at remembering what instruments that you have bought in the past even if its 3 to 4 years later. Enjoy. GWB

could name the dog after one of your ofc heroes... "tuppy, the puppy". naw, won't work. the dog will not always be a puppy. come to think of it, witko won't always be tuppy either.

congrats on your new git, brad!

Hey Slipkid,
I know you bought an Elite T, but, why not name the pup "ADAMAS"??

That's NICE Brad!! I hope that you enjoy it as much as the UTE.

Even though there have been some creative puppy names suggested, I would go with whatever SWMBO picks. You can name the new git.

Have fun with it. Knowing you, that won't be a problem.

The guitar is beautiful; puppy's name should be "Payback." ;)

If I get a pet soon, I'll call it "Ovey"...

Seeing all of these posts may make ME buy one of these Elites. Stop it! It's just contagious!

HA!
Good one Karen!!
So far it is either Fender or Chewie.
But we are still open to ideas even if it takes a couple days.
It's gotta be right. I'm going to be saying it an awful lot for the next 13 years or so.

Pardon me... I'm gonna go play my T!
