Location: Upper Left USA | Call it coincidence or the stuff of legends but I ran across some information on the Internet (so it must be true) and I'm starting to connect some dots.
It seems we have had a recent inlfux of women signing on to the OFC and many of them have been harvesting a fair amount of prized instruments.
Many of these acquisitions come close to qualifying as a robbery...
... or Piracy!!! :eek: :eek:
Here's an excerpt of what I have found:
Atwilla - From Gotland. Princess. Ca. 550 AD. Aka Aluilda, Alfhilde, Atwilda, Willa. According to 12th century-historian Saxo Grammaticus in his Gesta Danorum (Deeds of Danes) Atwilla was banished by her father king Siward "into very close keeping, and gave her a viper and a snake to rear, wishing to defend her chastity by the protection of these reptiles when they came to grow up. Legend says she turned her lover (the Danish prince > Alf) down to escape the tribulation of an enforced marriage. As has often been the case with ladies and princesses, her father felt he had the right to marry his daughter off to anyone he chose. Roamed the seas with a group of warlike and tough women. (This might seem strange, since all ships were then propelled as much by oars as by sail. In those days the chief source of trained seamen for warships was the fisherman. In their absence, however, the fishing vessels could be worked by their women who "handled oar, sail and net".) After some succesful voyages met another pirate crew which had recently lost their captain and were so impressed by Atwilla's regal air that the men elected her as chief of a combined gang, with approximately equal number of men and women. Became such a menace to shipping in the Baltic that the forces of law and order became aroused. Alf, unaware of the identity of the new captain, was dispatched to hunt them down but was driven off twice. Finally, in the Gulf of Finland "Atwilla had gone before them with her fleet into the same narrows. And when she saw the strange ships afar off, she rowed in swift haste forward to encounter them, thinking it better to attack the foe than to await them. (...) the Danes wondered not a little whence their enemies got such grace of bodily beauty and such supple limbs. So, when they began the sea-fight, the young man Alf leapt on Alwilla's prow, and advanced towards the stern, slaughtering all that withstood him. His comrade Borgar struck off Atwilla's helmet, and seeing the smoothness of her chin, saw that he must fight with kisses not with arms; that the cruel spears must be put away, and the enemy handled with gentler dealings." Was proposed marriage and, full of admiration for Alf's fighting qualities, accepted this time and retired from the sea. Eventually she became queen of Danmark…

Never met Willa in person but she certainly seems like a fine lady (as many others here on the forum are) and she does love guitars...more power to her! She's just had enough of the BS and enjoys her friends (human or guitar)...lol |

Although I would very much like to make plans and carry them out, there are several obstacles that make it difficult to take up the mantle and investigate Ms. Willa Muse's conceited, uncontrollable principles, ideals, and objectives. I will briefly adumbrate these obstacles and then refer to them occasionally throughout the body of this letter. To get immediately to the point, Ms. Muse's propaganda factories continuously spew forth messages like, "Honor counts for nothing" and, "The purpose of life is self-gratification". What they don't tell you, though, is that it is undeniable by anyone but dotty rakes that Ms. Muse should exercise greater judiciousness when extolling Bonapartism. In view of that, it is not surprising that I am aware that many people may object to the severity of my language. But is there no cause for severity? Naturally, I assert that there is because Ms. Muse sees the world as somewhat anarchic, a game of catch-as-catch-can in which the sneakiest nutters nab the biggest prizes. Ms. Muse claims that the world's salvation comes from whims, irrationality, and delusions. Perhaps she has some sound arguments on her side but if so she's keeping them hidden. I'd say it's far more likely that if you intend to challenge someone's assertions, you need to present a counterargument. Ms. Muse provides none.
I've tried to explain to Ms. Muse's irritable trucklers that by opting for the easy, short-term, feel-good path, Ms. Muse will bamboozle people into believing that clever one-liners are a valid substitute for actual thinking sometime soon. As could be expected, they were a bit slow on the uptake. I just couldn't get them to comprehend that Ms. Muse hates it when you say that she wishes she could buy "ethnic cleanser" at the grocery store. She really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to her sometime if you have a thick skin and don't mind having her shriek insults at you. Some readers may doubt that she is whiney enough to bring ugliness and nastiness into our lives. So let me provide some evidence. But before I do, let me just say that once you understand her publicity stunts, you have a responsibility to do something about them. To know, to understand, and not to act, is an egregious sin of omission. It is the sin of silence. It is the sin of letting Ms. Muse contaminate clear thinking with her obnoxious expositions.
Is it just me, or do other people also think that Ms. Muse frequently demands reparations for what only she perceives as injustices committed against her? I ask because we mustn't be content to patch and darn, to piece and cobble at the worn and rotten fabric of Ms. Muse's antisocial initiatives. Instead we must turn random, senseless violence into meaningful action. Her revenge fantasies are based on a technique I'm sure you've heard of. It's called "lying". If Ms. Muse has any children, I recommend that she teach them about love, trust, cooperation, community, reason, negotiation, and compromise rather than violence, paranoia, and fear. To conclude, Ms. Willa Muse's insane, headlong beliefs arose out of an unjust system only to spread more injustice in their wake, proving that there is no end to longiloquent autism. |

| Aye, there's a pirate named Patch (who doesn't wear a patch).
I didn't pay a pirate's ransom for my bounty, I was the one who walked away with a steal!
But Patch has a bounty that I'm a-eye'n. It's a beauty called "The Patriot". Patch would rather have me walk the plank than sell it to me! Arrgh!
