I finally got all the details worked out to offer the second OFC guitar.
It will be based on the 2080 and will be a tone MONSTER. When I was up at the factory a couple of weeks ago I was told about a few bodies and necks that were built but never assembled. I was intrigued. I asked some questions, made some calls and struck a deal to offer you this limited edition guitar.

Adamas 2080

-hand laid Fiberglass contour bowl

-Black binding

-Black textured bowl

-Blackburst finish

-Black gloss maple neck

1 11/16"

set neck similar to 08 collector's

-Ebony fingerboard

-OP-PRO preamp w/ db boost button (henceforth known as the alpep boost) this has never been done in any other guitar than the Al D model

xlr and 1/4" outputs

-Open back Sperzel tuners brushed nickel

-9158-0 case

black nut

black saddle

numbered 1/1-1/8

certificates for custom order

laser vibrometer chart

special labels signed by CWK and myself

Certificates signed by CWK and myself

These are limited to 8 guitars. 1/8 I am reserving for myself.

The price on this guitar is very reasonable. The list is around $5000

I see this guitar as a modern version of the Adamas for those that are into the look and who like the option of the db switch for lead playing.

If you want to mate it with a koa that has the same number I will offer a free idea preamp with the purchase.

Interested?
e me to reserve yours.

Sounds cool, Al, good luck with this series!

12 or 14 frets to the body?

Uh, we like pics around here, Al...

(Sounds very worthy of being included in the AlPep Standard Ltd Ed offerings, Al. Nice work as always.)

And dvd, it looks like this one "goes to eleven" too.

Sounds like a winner. What effect (other than cosmetic) will a maple neck have?

Any fretboard inlays? Needs a "Mr Big" logo at the 12th!

I think it has the 2080 12th fret inlay.
the maple neck has a different feel than the mahagony. It may add some brightness to the guitar but that is yet to be determined.
If you played an elite T you will get the idea.

Sounds great, but the price (even Al's version of it) is a substantial percentage of my salary. So I'll just sit back and enjoy the feeding frenzy.

The skinny neck is the escape clause for me - I can tell myself I don't want one (when I really do).

cliff got it

My agreement with KMC is that I cannot post prices that aren't map. since this is a custom order I am really not sure how that applies but If you e me I would be happy to send you a price. it is rather reasonable!

All the details have been worked out and I should expect these to start to come in soon.

Cliff maybe you can post a copy of the label and certificate.

I have also requested laser vibrometer readings for each guitar.

This may be your last chance at a cool fan club guitar that is really special!!!!!

You don't need pics, you only need a credit card.
