Now if we can get the America's Cup back we'll be doing something...

You realize the little Japanese dude got arthritis in his jaw from stuffing things in his mouth!
Something y'all might think about at the picnic

Chestnut qualified by winning the match here in Phoenix last month. He did 59, which at that tiome was a new world record. I didn't see it but it was all over the news.

How did the chick do? She's like 100 lbs. soaking wet and has knocked 50 dogs. She holds the cheesecake record of 11 lbs. in 2 minutes.

Before you spend any more time keeping track of this event remember... the minutes of your life are ticking away. Tick-Tock Tick-Tock

Maybe you should get a hobby.
Like guitar or something.

BTW... Michigan has the highest standards in the country for what can go into a hot dog.
Never... I mean never.. order a hot dog in Canada.

ELEVEN POUNDS OF CHEESECAKE... I two minutes?
I finally finished off a one pound cheesecake... was in my freezer for week.

[standards for hot dogs? 1 rat hair, 2 mouse droppings, per dog]

I heard that the reason they can eat so many is that before they start eating they take some enzyme which helps digest the hotdog while they are eating.

I think it should be like baseball, where they have steroid baseball and non-steroid baseball games. Oh wait, they don't do that ... oh well.

This is true. No lips or, uh, snaprings in Michigan hot dogs, by law. I will second the recommendation not to eat hot dogs in beautiful CA, and add that you shouldn't order one from that NASCAR restaurant in the Atlanta airport (Hartsfield-Jackson), either.

spam, hot dogs, bologna and most luncheon meats are from the sweepings of the slaughterhouse floor along with the boogers and tobacco spit from the workers.

My favorite thing about "competitive eating" is their term "reversal".

I still can't imagine eating 66 hot dogs, let alone in 12 minutes. Is there a requirement for how long they have to stay down afterwards?

To look at me is to know that I know my way around the dinner table, but these guys are insane!

A brat or spicy polish dog or two, sometimes, but never a hot dog.

Did we happen to invite any other Countries to this "World Championship"?

We had Bratwurst yesterday. But not until I had a really good paddling! I'm still a little sore but it was worth it :D

You forgot the Stroh's! Or, Vernor's. That might work, too. :D

The Vernors Ginger Ale I took to Stonges' party was well recieved.
Now.... about this hot dog eating contest. At the start I gave you guys a hard time about giving it any attention. I'll have to re-think that. This story is all over the news. Radio, TV, internet, newspaper.... I heard the guy interviewed on 2 different radio stations this morning.
Gentleman... I stand corrected.
And that'll be two with everything, please!

Of course it's all over the news. Bread and circuses. You (we) should be asking yourself (ourselves), "What is really going on that is being masked by this nonsense being reported as 'news'?"

Or, maybe not.
