After hovering over the UPS tracking info for a week, which showed a June 22 departure from Illinois, I finally got the "out for delivery" sign this morning. The guitar stuff was scanned an hour later than the OFC guitar, though, so, like some others, there may be two separate deliveries today. I'll probably get even less work done today than I usually do. OHBOYOHBOYOHBOY

Exciting news Mark. I believe the "out for delivery" thrills me as much as Christmas eve used to as a child. I would also bet, if data was collected, we guitar players make as many tracking hits on our shipments as any group.

Are you feeling OK? From here it sounds like maybe you're not feeling well. Are you sure you don't want to go home and relax, maybe have some tea, head off that cold that it sounds like you have coming on ? Summer colds are the worst you know, and an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. I think you better leave for the day. Maybe take tomorrow off as well. ;)

In 29 years, I don't think I've ever taken a sick day, so no one would believe me if I did. After 29 years, though, no one cares if I take off either.

Mark,

Better than not caring whether or not you show up!

See you tomorrow! You deserve it!

Mark, I hope someone is there to receive it, cause it probably requires a signature...

I was going to offer to take off work, fly to Boise, and wait for it to arrive for you. Of course you wouldn't expect me to be there when you got home, would you? ;) :D

Opening up the goodies box is like a Christmas stocking (if such was your family tradition).

Talk about anticipation ... my guitar was delivered to my office on Monday. Problem is that I've been on the road since Sunday night. I'll finally get to see it tomorrow when I return from this trip.

I can picture it all in my mind....

Mark is sitting out on his deck with that fantastic Idaho mountain view. His lovely wife comes out with a tall, frosty cold drink in one hand and the OFC guitar in the other. She hands Mark both, sits down and purrs... "Play for me dear. You know... the one I like so much to hear."
Mark begins to make the OFC guitar do what it was meant to do. Soon, little forest creatures are peaking out from behind the surrounding trees and rock formations. They are slightly confused because it sounds like nature singing out in the wild, yet this is something new to them.
Soon... bunnys, fawns, and little baby kitten bobcats are gathered around the deck. A song bird then lands on Marks shoulder and offers some fleeting harmony. Mark acknowledges his small feathered friend with a slight nod. And both man and beast know that for now, all is well with the world.

Jeff, your memory is incredible. Yes, the drummer is here and if I was the UPS driver, I wouldn't let him sign for anything. The VW van is in the driveway creating an oil slick.
Maybe I better go home.
Brad's imagination is about as far from reality as you could get. About 95 degrees today here at the edge of the desert. We have a deck we never use. Hippie daughter and her drummer boyfriend will be working on their VW greasemobile or visiting friends. Wife is on her way to San Diego. I'll take the guitar down in the basement to meet it's siblings. Saturday I'm going to strap it in the passenger seat and drive through the Nevada desert down to San Diego.

Yeah, i was thinking, "Brad's obviously never been to Boise" :) Nice image though.

Care to swing by Portland on your way south Mark? -- It's only 5 or 6 hours out of your way.

Brad has these romantic memories of Sun Valley. Robert, we had a VW camper the same color as their's. I was never a drummer and never had a beard as long. I also never went more than a few weeks without a job. Other than that, it's scary.

Mark, congrats on the guitar. Look forward to hearing your review.

Brad, you really should put some ice on your head to take the swelling down. Or have you been hired by Disney? :)

OK, this is getting ridiculous. My daughter said she had to leave at 4 and couldn't find any of the neighbors home, so I came home from the office. Passed 2 UPS trucks on the way and have been jumping up every time I hear a truck go by. So far, nothing.

Mark, go out on the deck and whistle up some of Brads critters to keep you company. :)

2 good deep breaths and a Coors Light should help you through this. Grab your 30th Ann. and strum something. Could be a while 'fore you hold it again! :)
