That little piece of koa at the base of the neck heel is an inspired feature.

Hold on...
Where the heck is the classic skunk stripe???
Perhaps it would not go with the starkness of that fantastic ebony fretboard.

Brad, no skunk. Neck is 2 piece maple, glossed of course. The grain of the koa top gives a lot of "lines" to the overall look of the guitar. The skunk strip would not have looked good on here.

Here's a little sound sample. Acoustic only. Just popped a mic in front of the guitar, VERY rough. One take and plenty of mistakes but it'll give you an idea. The recording does not come close to capturing how nice this guitar really sounds.

sounds and looks MIGHTY FINE! stunning guitar!

i know they do not make wood-topped "adamas" branded guitars, but this one would appeal to me even more if it said "adamas" on it.

Sorry guys, but I just can't like it. All those stripes all over the whole top. One piece neck...what up with that? Tortoise binding all around? Humph!
Then they short changed the neck...missing two frets to the body? Dave you need to check these guitars out more carefully before you commit.

And the headstock is full of holes!!!Whoa! And did they ever screw up the sound hole placement...not even close to center. Man, you got took.

I must admit that it does sound really good though.

Nope I can't like it. Not me. No way. Not a chance. Forget it.

That's right, I just can't "afford" to like that guitar! :)

Nice, Dave!

That has to be the coolest binding I have ever seen. And I feel badly that I didn't hear any of your mistakes, Dave. Maybe the guitar corrected them.

It's the same binding as the FD14. HEY, maybe it's the BINDING that makes these two guitars sound so great???

Time to order a 1627 reissue with torty binding ...

I gotta agree on that one!

One of the first things I noticed was the Binding, (regardless of whether that affects the sound) I like it. And the sound aperture placement is kinda nifty also. (Nifty is another technical term)

That will definitely draw some compliments...
"Nope, you cannot get one just like it at Guitar Center!" :D

The binding is definately cool. My sons' Fender acoustic is bound like that; unique look that adds that "coool" factor. Very nice touch!

Totally amazed! Not just on the looks and sound of the guitar, which is just flat out wonderful, but that Dave brought in a good player and passed that player off as him.....
