I would suggest that we get together on a Saturday sometime between January 21st - February 28th. Appears that most members are in LA and Orange Counties...so, some reasonable location. Anyone that didn't participate in the 7/31/04 get-together missed a great time. Then, was even better because the next day, a number of us were honored to go to Michael's office. Furthest traveler was Al (New Jersey), second was Standingovation from Phoenix. I know the typical get-together for some of the OFC is NAMM (Anaheim Jan 19-22) but many of us don't have access. So, after NAMM. When? Where? Let's do it!

I think they are busy as hell with NAMM but maybe could swing in for a short while. I'd be up for it. Alternative plan (for purely personal reasons) weekend of March 18-19 I'll be in town for the LA Marathon. Would not mind bringing a uke or two with me. Dave

My wife is always asking me to go away on trips and give her some peace and quiet. Funny that when I come home the pool is nice and clean and the landscaping is just perfect. Dave

I'm demo-ing for a UK manufacturer and buying for my own company, so we'll be tied up till the show closes each day, but always up for an aftershow party. Dave, I've already booked you a NAMM badge, are you coming out?

Yes, it would be a good time for a get-together, especially since some of other OFC'ers will be there. However, if I don't go to NAMM, I will not come up. In addition, I will not buy a new Ovation/Adamas unless I see it first. I said that for 2005 but ended up buying the 2005 Collectors, the U681T, and the 1687 reissue. Fair outlay ($5,150). Not in 2006. That means a local store, a trip to the local Taylor factory, or buy used a couple of years after issue. Yes, that may include the OFC guitar. Never seen an Adamas slothead or #47 prototype. Course, by 2007 or 2008, I will probably qualify on my own. Sure, some of my questions may have been answered if I went to the "Tour". Business and personal factors have precluded the travel the last two years. As to a SoCal get-together, maybe we should consider later in the year as many of us wouldn't be able to participate. Still the possibility of a Phoenix get-together when the Rock and Roll Museum satellite opens in Phoenix. Although they had planned to be open in January, it is now my understanding that they may not start construction until at least January.
