Usually, the #9 indicate brown color and this one seems to be red. 2- It's not a 5 pieces neck. 3- The fretboard seem's not to be walnut but Ebony. 4- The neck could have been changed but there's the Adamas logo on the head: Could it be a custom order or is it a model that I didn't know??? Jérôme :)

Since it is from florida, the original tuners might have corroded and been replaced. I have no idea about the color. I would just close my eyes. I am just fishing on this and have only made a token bid.

I think corrosion is unlikely. the sealed gold tuners are pretty freakin durable. This guitar has had the neck replaced in addtion to the tuners and a wad of paper at the bridge to compensate for the poor neck job. If it goes at the right price, can you say, " Complete Factory Refurb"

Gold...even plated gold is pretty resistant to corrosion. I suppose, however, that if the strings were to wear away the plating on the posts they could corrode much more quickly.

I am a skatebaord collector, and it does that a lot. Pink comes out orange, red comes out pink...ect But that doesn't escuse the unescusable. What the hell is wrong with people making extra hole in an instrument of that caliber. I'm working on deal for another guitar, so i can't do it right now, but somebody needs to rescue that poor girl. It's not too late. Any idea how high the price might go? Thank you very much Ced

They did have multiple veneers. That headstock is the electric version rather than the acoustic. Compare it to a preecher and you'll find it's the same I bet. Probably just had to change the tuners for some reason, it happens. OK I checked it out further on the Ebay listing. It is a special brown, darker than the normal -9. I remember this guitar. Nick made it up to see what the real dark brown would look like. Looks like the bowl took a hit somewhere, walnut f/b that's never been cleaned. If someone gets serious about this contact Timm Kummer, prewar99@kummersvintage.com, he lives in Ft. Lauderdale, he could go look at it and give a first hand report.

If it sells cheap enough, it could be a refurb project. But by the time you pay for the necessary repairs, shipping both ways ... and the electronics are probably corroded also, purchasing a different guitar would probably be cheaper.
