While I realize that (especially with these guitars) that pics can be deceiving (even pics of the SAME guitar in different situations), but t'me it almost appears to be a somewhat faded blue that's heavily glitter-laden. Was there a "gold" one made?? (Bill?) I checked through "TheList" and tried to find a notation for "gold" and couldn't find any . . . DID find, though : ". . The colors were 6 red, 8 beige, 19 blue and 1 brown . ." = 34

The -7 was probably just gold, maybe some silver. I think each coat was sprayed separately so that is why there is variation (Mackin can verify since he sprayed them). Also time and aging will make these be different, like the -7 that looks almost white. I would guess that this is number 38 because of the white inlays. It could be 46 or 51 but those would probably have gold inlays.

Does he have a list of who bought them from the factory and he drops the owners a line from time to time to see if they are in the market to sell? Nothing wrong with Elias having them.. I am just honestly curious as to how any one person can come up with so many of these old slotheads. ????? Randy
