Billy was hand-picked from his local elementary school largely due to his "look" ( Billy's large head, skinny body, odd-shaped eyes and moronic grin had sadly branded him a poster-child for inbreeding and mental deficiency). The actual irony is that Billy was neither "retarded" nor even able to "fake" playing the banjo. " Dueling Banjos He also had a small part in Tim Burton's FABULOUS movie entitled "Big Fish" ;) Willa

Per Wikipedia: In his famous scene, Redden plays the instrumental "Dueling Banjos" opposite actor Ronny Cox on guitar. Redden could not actually play the banjo. A musician reached around from behind Redden which was disguised using careful camera angles.

I didn't think the technology was good enough at that time to pull off such a special effect, but I think Wikipedia is probably a better source than whateverhappenedto.com. Who knows? If he WAS playing, you'd think Mr. Reddin would be giggin' somewhere instead of running a diner in Georgia, no? If he WAS it's kind of sad for him to not get recognized for it. And if he wasn't, it's weird that he's posing with his banjo ... anyway, to stay on topic (sort of), maybe he'll read this and show up at the G8r Bowl gatherin'! ;p ;) Willa

As it now stands the weather guessers say: Chance for rain and scattered T-storms. High Temps from upper 60s to lower 70s.

At this point, I'd love to fondle the new 2010 Limited! I had planned on bringing the 1680 and the Folklore. But I'll take requests...
