Our gang does dinner every Tuesday...if it gets that big, everyone just brings one dish that feeds two and you have twice as much food as you need! (Host supplies nachoes and dip, just to avoid 14 of the same thing) -or- Everyone brings a protien (meat) to be cooked on the barbie. -or- Just bring what you feel like...this is always a great way to stock the hosts fridge for about a week. I miss the parties where a bunch of guys just brought whatever was handy. Once we got married the parties all had to have some theme and there was more food than drink. Nothing more boring than a Mormon party. I'll pick up something on the way over or I'll grab a bunch of leftovers from Mom's 80th if I make it back later.

Will report back after further research. The Porsche Club people will think I'm nuts, but most of them know I am.

Waskel, does your wife have a list of fabric store addresses? And what's the traffic/driving like in this town? Remember, I'll/we'll be in a foreign (and hostile) land...not knowing the local customs and such we're likely to say something in 'Canadian' that gets us sent to Gitmo!

Driving around southeast isn't too bad, it's a pretty straightforward grid layout, with strategically placed main streets. Don't worry about being a foreigner - Portland is getting to the point of Americans being the minority...

I'm driving my Sable, which will hold at least 4 guitars in the trunk, two in the backseat with my Marshall, and one or two more in the front. Definitely bring the Ute - hopefully I won't miss you on this trip, as I'd love to try one. On another note, would anyone be interested in playing a newly-refurbished 1869? I just got mine back from the mothership in near PERFECT condition, and could hold off selling it long enough to bring it down in August. I'm thinking for sure to bring: 1624 Country Artist 1881 Adamas II 1718 Elite EA68 Viper 1271 Viper solid C759LX (hopefully) LOTS OF BREAD & GOODIES!!!!!
