A great time was had by all! Look for pictures in the Gatherings section (coming soon).

Side note to attendees - I wound up with 2 more guitar stands than I started with. Contact me if they're yours.

Thanks Serge and Jhimli for hosting g8rbowl and inviting me to hang out. The food alone was worth the drive. It was great to finally meet all the guys and play their great guitars...I don't even know who's guitars I was playing. I only played the one I brought for about 5 minutes. I kinda fell in love with a Collings and decided that they probably ARE worth the money.
More importantly, after listening to Beal play and sing his fantastic original stuff, I have a new goal for 2010... WRITE SOME DAMN SONGS!!

Ditto on what DB said. A great time as usual at casa G8r. Beal may have turned me on to Collings too. (maybe a Merrill too  ). Great guitars, food and company. It don't get any better!

Fond and grateful thanx to Serge and Jhimli for another fantastic gathering and all the great food!

My biggest surprise was when TJ and I walked into the G8r Casa, and there was this Yankee cat that looked like he swallowed a canary... Yepper, apparently ol' BT Bob didn't get enough abuse at the SSSJ...

The friendship and music was awesome, the guitars seductive and the food too good to describe!

YSBT...!!!

I'd like to also personally thank Serge and Jhimli for their hospitality and hosting this event. We had a good size group, most with great talent (I was the exception).

The company was great, the music was really great, and the food was fantastic. Jhimli did a wonderful job constantly whipping up a tasty treat. The shrimp and grit were fabled and did not disappoint. Outstanding!

It was good to see old friends again and to put a faces to a couple of OFC'ers I had not met yet. Everyone needs to make one of these regional get togethers at the their first opportunity.

A huge thanks to Serge and Jhimli for having all of us over. It was an incredible weekend. Great people, great guitars, great food and a great time.

I can't thank you enough for the hospitality. It was a load of fun playing, listening and watching.

Also thanks to everybody who came, I was good to see everybody. Ya'll are a talented bunch!

And Serge, those are my guitar stands. I didn't miss them until I was figuring out where to put my guitars. Good thing I didn't bring a bass home with me! I also left my cell phone charger there.

Leaving stuff at a jam used to be known as "pulling a Jas". I left the same jacket at g8r's house and Keith's cabin in the same year. I'm doing better lately.

What he said :D

We arrived back home safely last night after meandering up the east coast. Many thanks to Jhimli and Serge for hosting this rag-tag group again. Nicky and I had a great time seeing everyone (Bob!) and meeting Cholloway and Darkbar for the first time.

To top it all off - 1901 miles driven and only one (1) brief traffic jam!
