No point in bringing Rickard's Red, or Sleemans Fine Porter only to hear, "Cool! I brought that too!" How about Okangan Springs? Kokanee? Big Rock Brewery? Unibroue? These are all smaller brewers, though many have sold controlling interest to large companies,(sigh) some retain their original flavours. Unibroue is the most interesting of the lot, they do in bottle fermentation for finishing carbonation so their product has bottle residue just like homebrew. It does not travel all the well for this reason, however they do manage to get some flavours to BC all the way from Quebec. Do you think I could get a six of hemp beer across the border?

The Mexican restaurant where my daughter works thinks my regular beer is Negro Modelo, but they keep better track than I do. The only beer I ever had to pour out was something Kilt Lifter. I hope it was just a bad batch. The only other explanation is that some drunk Scot pissed in the bottle and they thought it still had enough alcohol content to call it beer and sell it.

I got my first Ovation at Red Bank Music, but not the main store in Red Bank. They had a little second shop in Neptune in the Acme Plaza on Rt.35 right in front of 2-Guys. ![]()

Mark, bring your mothers birth certificate or I just won't believe this is one of those..."Honey, are you feeling alright?"...kind of excuses to bail if we all look too dangerous! ;) Or boring... (I can't drink more than about 6 at a time any more... They're gonna pull my passport if it gets any worse!)

I've been talking about the conflict with my mom's birthday party for quite awhile. Her birthday isn't really till September 3, but we had too many other relative that couldn't do it over Labor Day. How about if you all come over to the Orenco Elks lodge and help celebrate her birthday? I tried to work that, too, but it didn't pan out. I can hold my own on the beer drinking, maybe even with a Canadian, but I do need to be able to get back to Hillsboro (my daughter might be the designated driver) and be able to play and sing a simple song for her. Maybe I should practice a little while drinking beer. Oh, wait. That's how I always practice.
