Maybe the UKULELE museum is at my house. Sam still is the curator of the Ovation museum, although someone seems intent on opening a west coast branch in san diego...

Wong has adamii up the ying-yang ... Al has stuff he doesn't even know he has ... and ME? Well, actually I've got a pretty good collection of asian sex toys ...

Moody's "Next OFC gathering is at Witko's house!!!!"

Remeber that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is opening in Phoenix this summer.

Maybe we can get the SoCal, New Mexico, and Texas crew over...maybe the Colorado crew can come down.

I make it out to Phoenix several times a year.

Was gonna ask Dave if I could stop by next time but an SW OFC would be too cool (versus Phoenix hot!). I especially like the FALL instead of the SUMMER  (not mad...just the heat....heh heh)

Count me in....maybe I can learn to play the guitar by the time it rolls around!

Did somebody sing a song called "By the Time I Get To Phoenix", or was it "Just My Imagination"?

Hey Jeff,

Yeah, I responded to your e-mail, but your spam blocker asked me for a blood and urine sample and social security # in order to get through to you, and I chickened out. I'm squeamish around needles.

Frank,
No worries. I dug you out just a little while ago. I have the spamblocker set on irradiate.

...Just curious would you have passed the Urine test?

Thanks for getting back to me...Let us know who the lucky new 1537 owner is when the the sale is completed. Bon Chance!

Jeff,

You got it, my blood was fine. Your spamblocker took my social and credit card info just fine, but sirens went off when I attached the blocker's catheter tube. Residuals from the 70's no doubt.

E-mail me again sometime. I was able to post a gallery just now under frank10101 if you want to take a look at the 1537. 100k is itsy bitsy but understandable with a forum's bandwidth considerations.

Frank,
That's a fine looking machine. The black will definitely draw some interest.

Hey all,

Do I read this right? Do I have the only black 1537?

This wouldn't surprise me, as I hand picked this one up from the Connecticut factory back in the mid 80's. At the time, they told me it was a prototype.

What gives? Anyone out there with knowledge of another 1537 Elite black?

Let's see. I now want $150,000.00 for this axe! Just kidding. But it would be interesting to know if it's the only black 1537.

Anyone else know of a black 1537?

Frank

Frank,

If there are more out there they are very rare.

StandingOvation may have hade or might have one, but I could be mistaken. He has a good selection of pictures on his web page...Check it out.

I did notice some differences in your guitar from mine...other than color. The bridge and binding specicfically.

It'd be pretty cool if you did have the only one

StandingO does have one. He won't be posting for a couple of days. Right now, he's asleep down in our guest room and will be attending NAMM for the next couple of days.

I thought the one Dave had was a burst...not black.

I stand corrected. I went back and looked and it is a burst.
