Hey, it's 35 degrees here this morning. I had carpool duty at 7 am with 4 happy teenagers. Florida doesn't get any worse than this.

It was 46 here. Still drove with the top down, although I did have the heater going. No problem, it'll be mid 60's by tee time.

Yeah, but it's a "dry" cold

Tomorrow's forecast in Denver: high 13, low in the sub-zero range. Its a good time to be heading out to Southern California for the NAMM show. Guess I'll just trailer the bike on this trip.

I LOVE doing that. Top down, heater blazing, music blaring.....makes me feel like I am in my 20-30s again for a little while.

It's been raining & just below freezing here for two days. The world is a glazed doughnut. Great for the body shop bizz but I have a 200 mile drive this afternoon. I saw 62 below zero one morning outside my apparment in Fairbanks Alaska in 1967.

Just got another 6 inches of the white stuff...I prefer to call it contrast...Fresh snow is one of the great pleasures of the Mitten State.

That is a pretty cool picture.

What city is the "BitterCold Jam" in? I would like to attend and meet some of you. I played a lot better 20 years ago but, working on getting back to that level again.

Only about 50 miles north of where Jimmy Hoffa was last seen.

Come on guys, just wear some tights under your skirts :)

Here's the plan so far.

I'll provide pizza, chips, and pop (for all you off-worlders that's what we call "soda") So if want something else, BYO.

I'll have my humble collection all restrung and tuned for sampling. I'll have an Acousticsonic Jr. out for those who want to fart around with the VXT.

Whatever level you are, polish up your best tunes in the next couple weeks. I don't wanna here than "I can't play" crap.
Closed circuit to Rich (twisted)... I've already heard you play. Ya got no valid excuse.

If you have a good "group" song, bring some cheat sheets.

Okay... The BitterCold Jam is about a week away.
In review.... Sunday the 31st... my house... 1:00 till... Oh I dunno.. we'll see how it goes.

I'm looking for some kind of head count so I can bring in the appropriate amount of staff and supplies.

Spouses are welcome. If they have an interest in that scrapbook stuff they can ka-bitz with my wife. I've noticed that her scrapbook stuff has grown in direct proportion to my guitar stuff.

I'll provide pop, pizza and snacks. If you want something else to drink it's BYO.

If you have an Island shirt... wear it. The louder the better.

PM me for my address and directions.

I've cobbled together a proposed agenda.
1:00 to 1:15... take off your coats, boots, gloves, scarfs, fur sided Russian hats, and of course... "leggins'"... then settle in.
1:15 to 2:00... an in depth discussion of every brand of strings you have ever used and the pros and cons of each. You must have a concise, informed opinion or you'll be voted off the island right then and there.
2:00 to 3:30.... we watch a video of Dave's Uke class given at the last Factory Tour... twice.
3:30 to 5:00.... ice fishing
5:00 to 6:30... hot chocolate served while planning a non-violent yet swift and stunning overthrow of the OFC.
6:30 to 7:45... The Freddie and the Fishsticks video will be shown as well as multiple versions of Al playing "Sweet Jane" from any number of OFC gatherings.
7:45 to 8:00... as long as we're on schedule, maybe we can play a guitar. Maybe even a song... maybe even 2 songs.... if they're not long ones.

Yes Yes please collect the Sage Brush before its all snowed under!
Weaser, our 6th member of our band is our soundman. He is from Oswego. He has his own company and rents his massive PA for large events etc. Called "Hurricane Sound & Light". He told me he's glad we are not planning on a lot of work in the winters as his truck is a 28' cab over and he said you can't really tell there is a truck under the massive mound of snow 20' high that its buried under now.
