A lovely guitar Nancy.

Is that #69 in your collection as well?

Thank You Banjo!!! I HOPE I don't have 69 Guitars here, that would be insane!!!! LOL!!!! Buying guitars is kind of like your weight, as long as you don't know the numbers, you don't feel guilty!

I don't own a scale, I go by if I can zip my pants, I am fine, if not, go buy some new pants! . I only have one mirror in the house too, non of them work right, they all have this fat, old Lady stuck in them, so I don't like them..

Nancy, thank you for firing up this site. It was pretty dead around here on Monday. I kept checking "Posts Active Today" and thought there was something wrong with the site, because there were no posts active . . . till you started this thread and all of a sudden we were on page 2.

I know, I kept checking too, I think we are all sad, it is hard to be cheerful when someone that we love is not doing well. But for her sake too, we have to keep going, because if she is well enough to get on here and read, we need to have something happy or funny for her here, that is important.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!!!How does the 1187 compare to your 1687?
You can never have to many red guitars you'll just have to figure out what order to hang them in Bearclaw in the middle flanked by two redbursts maybe

Thank you!!!! You will understand this 2Wheel, I don't know the techie terms, and I wouldn't remember them if I did, but you know how a '76 Custom Legend 1119 sounds compared to a regular Legend??? There is just that (*) un-name-able, but definite edge to the tone of the CL? That subtle, but real difference in the sound when you just strum it? That is the difference between the 1187 and 1687, not allot of difference, but that subtle tone that, undeniable difference, in favor of the 1187 (to me), it is like the Custom Legend, versus the Legend. I don't know what it is, but it is there. I don't know if the lack of anything in the body, like the electronics makes any difference, doesn't disrupt the sound waves, or what, I am not an engineer, but the Acoustic Only has that edge. The 1687 is louder, but the 1187 has the edge on sound and action. I can definitely see now why they are so sought after, so rarely found, and held so Dear!

And I know that probably makes no sense to anyone else, but you are a CL fan too, and I know you will understand it!

That collection is stunning, Nancy. You could host a get together and nobody would have to bring their own guitar!

Sounds like a recipe for sticky strings, do you really want to change that many sets after a weekend?

It's all wheel drive, but I think some of the deeper parts of the Pacific could be a problem.

I could buy a canoe?

Minneapolis is about half way between me and Chicago, so definitely worth a weekend trip.
