we pretty much bear whatever is neccessary up here.
That's why taxes are so onerous.

but yeah, you folks do seem to have a little trouble with the Kings English and what words mean. ;)
"It depends on what the meaning of the word is, is?!?!?!"
Oh, really!

She's got her new strings on. And the rattle was a pick in her innards.

If I can fit the 1624 in as well I'll bring it, but that might not leave room for the 1537...
I was reluctant to replace those extra light strings with lights, because it played so well with the extra lights. I don't know how the pick got in there, since I rarely use one. Maybe my daughter was using it. I'm sure you can fit both the 1624 and the 1537 in the Honda (not the Goldwing). If not, I'll hunt you down like a dog.

Okay, now for the bad news...

In light of losing $2700 to this ebay scam, I will probably not be making it down to Portland. Not having money for food or rent all of a sudden kind of puts a crunch on unnecessary road trips. In addition, I will most likely be putting a couple of guitars up in the for sale section, namely the Tacoma Roadking, 1624 Country Artist, and the EA68 Viper. dvd, let me know how much you need for the shirt, and I'll either have you send it to me or send it with Woody and I'll get it from him.

Sorry guys, I was looking forward to this. Thanks for all your input.

Oh crap, I just rolled back into town after a quick getaway to Seattle and read your other thread and my heart just sank. I'm so sorry that happened to you Edensharvest.. there's no way in hell I'm going to pile it on by expecting you to pay for the shirt. I trust MWoody will be happy to deliver it, or I'll mail it to you directly if you'd like to PM me your address.

Very sad, Andrew. Especially on top of the theft loss you had recently. Maybe you could send a couple guitars that you'd like to sell with Mike. Waskel seems to be interested in the EA68 and there are a couple others that might like a 1624.

But Waskel has absolutely no cash to spend on guitars at this time. Maybe after he sells this 1537 he keeps tripping over...

Don't forget the medical bills. They will be even higher than the legal fees.

True. If I can manage to break my leg tripping over someone else's guitar in my house, should I sue them for cash, or settle out of court for thier car?

Eden... I'm having no luck PMing you. I'm driving through Olympia early Saturday and could give you a ride, etc. Email me at fillhixx@yahoo.ca for details.

Hate to see anyone miss this that wants to be there...

Yeah, me too. I can reserve the couch for you if you need a place to crash. It's not the Ritz but it's free. You'll just have to put up with the cats, and that barking beast my wife calls a dog.

One of the first lawyers I met used to say there should be a defense of criminal stupidity. It seems like the dumber a person is in injuring himself, the more likely he is to sue someone else for it. Bring it on, John. Just don't damage my guitar in the process. Given the rapidly depreciation of the Boxster, I think you should just concentrate on protecting those Hondas.

Fella I used to know in the criminal justice system (no, NOT my parole officer) said one of his professors reported that the entire system could be simplified by reducing the criminal code to two charges.
Misdemeanor stupid
and
Felony stupid.
This would take care of 95% (87.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot) of all criminal activity.

I'm only stupid enough to think of it, not to actually do it. Besides, there's too much chance of damaging a fine guitar.

fillhixx and gh1, that's the spirit of the OFC. Andrew, I hope you can see your way clear to take advantage of them. The break would do you good!

Besides, nothing hard about putting up with a couple harmless little kitties...

I need the bread, so does Andrew. Blanche DuBois observed, "I've always depended on the kindness of strangers." Though, not "strangers", in this case, assuredly.

It would be great if you could make it Andrew and if you could come with fillhixx you might get there early enough to meet me. I'm sure you'd rather just be there in time to try out the Ute, but I come with it.

Thank you guys for all the offers. I guess I'll just see what happens this week. Fillhixx, I appreciate the offer of a ride, but unfortunately I'm working over on the west side of the Narrows, and won't even be back in Olympia until around 5:00, which is the real reason for being later in the day arriving.

I'll see what I can arrange. If I can somehow magically materialize a couple thousand bucks out of thin air, it should be no sweat. Then again, God works in strange ways...

Thanks again to everyone...I'll keep you posted.

If it's about the gas/travel money, I'd be happy to throw some $$$ into the pot. And Gh1 has offered up lodging. Seems like a good opportunity to escape this ebay whole mess for one night and enjoy yourself. Think of it as a "mental health" day.. ;)

That would be my prescription. Sometimes a little repression is a good thing.

Need help with my shopping list. I am going to buy Barley Sandwiches for the Saturday gathering this afternoon (now there's a logical impossibility! ) and don't want to waste the experience by bringing brown eggs you've already sampled.

EG: Are our local national/regional brands like Canadian , Kokanee , and O\'Keefes Extra Old Stock? available to you already? These, coming from 'bigger' brewerys are more conservative in their flavour palate but I'll get a couple of the more adventurous flavours for those of us so inclined.
....................................
a little repression is a good thing.
Well, maybe not so much repression as an unrelated celebration to help keep things in perspective. If you have a regular job, you have cash flow. You can then survive everything short of catastrophe and addiction. (see my wife the accountant for details)

Losing a couple grand in a bad deal is neither. Come ask me about losing more than a hundred on a business gone bad! ;)

Edensharvest, come on down, the company is warm. These celebrations and tribal gatherings are among the things that make the experience of life itself worthshile...IMNSHO

"Barley Sandwich" and "brown eggs" are both euphemsism for beer.

To gather Saturday and this afternoon (Wednesday) is a logical impossibility as one cannot be in two places at one time.

Are you sure that's not a bunny with a hangover?

I am a beerbot. It is chillin' in the garage. (ambient air temperature drops 32 degrees at the border, don'cha know!?)

Please have your border patrols stand their vigilance down to code taupe on Saturday morning.
