One even brought his parents, who were only planning to stay long enough to check out "these old guys from an internet chat room" they were leaving thier son with (very wise and commendable, I think!). They wound up staying all day! Please let me be the first to thank Greg and Shari for being the wonderful, generous hosts they were, providing food, drink and hospitality to all (even me!).

I really wish there was more time to get to know each of you better. I can't help but feel the sense of opportunity lost. But alas, such is the nature of time; it's limited. I would like to advocate for a reunion. I ended up with a power cord to an amp and a green folder of chord sheets (Nextel FY02). If the owners would PM my your snailers i'll see that you get them back. Thanks to all you road warriors that traveled so many hours to join in. And a special thanks to Mark for his year long efforts to put this thing on the map. And one for dvd for his efforts in geting the shirts made. Oh, and tdeej: if you need to make space, i'll take that 1547 off your hands. Bar none that was my favorite guitar of the day. Thanks for bringing it! Cheers all! What a wonderful group you are! _____ gh1

Greg & Shari were the consummate hosts, and the paragons of forebearance, despite our nomadic intrusions into their "plantings". Thanks again for the hospitality. Wide array of musicianship, and equipment displayed. Rather daunting to see that many O's in the same place. Personally, held up my end, as devoid of talent, but high on enthusiasm! Got my mitts on several, really beautiful instruments, and yes, I can play badly with ANY guitar, thank you very much! I'm in favor of making this an annual affair. Think I better start practicing a little more, too. Cheers, Chris

Obviously, there are people I need to meet. Great pics. Sounds like a great time. Who brought what guitars? Also, did anybody a/b the 87C with the Book Elite?

He'll have to fill you on on the name of it when he gets home, but it was a percussion instrument -- a wooden tube that made different tones depending on where he hit it. The 87C and the book were A/B'd... I think by Miles and Mark? Not sure who. People will have to volunteer their own list of what they brought. too many for me to keep track of. We completely filled three rooms of their house with cases. I brought my super-shallow Elite and my '01 Collector's. Ray from Kaman brought a 2080 and an LX that had various sections cut away so you could see the internals of the body and the neck. Sorry I didn't get a pic of it. One of my favorites was a 12-sting cobalt-blue woven-top cut-away Adamas... was that yours Tim? What was that model number? And another favorite was Waskel's 1581. And Greg's 1674. And fillhixx's Thunderhead. And MWoody's breadwinner. and .. and .. and .. well, they were all great!

I want to have it on record that I now know Em as well, and can therefore play any emo tune you name. Big thanks to gh1 and ms-gh1 for fantastic hosting. 'veg

Nice putting faces to some of the names here. Even though I'm a US resident (legal too!) it was nice to not be the lone Canadian in the crowd. Hope us Canucks didn't cause too much of a ruckus, eh? :-)
