"ttenn" can write her a note.

Which Homewood Suites is it?

That would be Bradley Intl Airport (KBDL)in Windsor Locks CT. The airport in Hartford is Brainard, (KHFD) which is much smaller. :p

Yeah, but if you go with him to HFD, you'll win the free guitar.

Is there a shuttle from l'aeroport to l'hotel? If I don't ride in with Brad and friends, I'd be coming in around 4p or thereabouts.

Well, I tried, but we aren't going to be able to make this work. Bummer. Angie says she wants to go "someplace warm".

Maybe we'll go to San Diego and visit Taylor...

I've never had t'use it but I believe there is

Tho it's a BIT of a "hike" . . . if y'HAD to, y'could walk to the hotel from the airport . . . it's that close.

Worse comes to worse, call the FrontDesk and ask to speak to one of the GuitarF@ckwits milling about in the Lobby . . . somebody'll come get you.

The Hotel is 1.2 miles from the Airport. I believe there is a shuttle, definately taxi, and you could probably call over to the hotel and someone could run over and pick you up.

lady s said the same thing. I told her she could go to hell.

The black eye is barely visible anymore and the mattress in the dog house isn't half bad.

So I was thinking ... since the graduation events don't start until mid-day Saturday, I told lady s that I ought to be able to swing by CT without a problem. I've got a nice shiner on the other eye now.

Cruster, there is a shuttle. runs every 20-30 minutes.
When you get to the exit doors of the airport, there's a bank of phones. One of them is for Homewood. Just pick it up and tell them you need the shuttle, they'll come and get you.

$281.00 from Knoxville to Hartford on Useless Air. Pretty good chance I can make it this year. Anyone else from eastern TN looking to go and want to car pool? Only 825 miles. 12-13 hrs and were there.

GGG you there? How about the rest of the Knox gang?

Not going to be able to make it this year.

For as big an area as Knoxville/Oak Ridge is is you would think flying would have some better options.

don't teachers get days "off"?? . . .
On any day during the week, except Friday and the days before and after a holiday. Back when I was a classroom teacher in the NYC public schools, I needed to present proof that I was either very ill and received treatment, or underwent a medical/surgical procedure. In this case, a doctor's note.

Now that I provide special instruction as an independent contractor via various agencies, if I don't work, I simply don't get paid. Otherwise, I will need to set-up make-up sessions with the students' parents and/or teachers in order to receive a paycheck. And I no longer have the luxury of working from September to June, and get the rest of the summer off...
