Finally got mine. My fault. I was late ordering it. Very nice job. I recognize most of you, but there are a few whose real names I don't recognize.
Coincidentally, it's next to John's "Rest" CD in the rotation. Maybe hanging out with a bunch of pros will make me better, but then that hasn't worked in golf either.

I took mine in the dash cd changer with a friend during a trip Saturday to do a funeral...he complemented all the songs very nicely: he really liked Stephen's; and especially Randy's slack key tunes...it really relaxed him he said. I think the CD is really nice: so many different styles and flavors represented...
FYI: I recorded "Waiting For the Wind" with the 1688-5 Adamas 12 (the same guitar I played it with at Amelia) direct into the new BR1600 DAW and next added the vocals thru the M-Audio Sputnik tube mic I just got from StephenT (this is an awesome mic!!!)...finally mixed it to stereo and then uploaded to the computer...Bare bones, yes: but I wanted to let the vocals/lyric's through (as the message is what's important to me as a songwriter); I wanted to add the sound of wind so I used one of the Hollow Sun patches I uploaded on the Alesis Fusion...thats it! I think for a last minute effort, it worked out even with the small window I had due to some technical issues...OK: I'd maybe do it differently next time w/ a bit more time to experiment (I'd add more reverb to warm up the mix for sure).
Nice to be included with such a great group of songs and players...I'm looking forward to Vol. 4!
Nicely Done...

There's got to be a punch line in there someplace about playing OFC members songs on the way to a funeral ...

I have a request for all OFC members. If you're going to some OFC jam event, NAMM party, Cliff's backyard BBQ this weekend, Amelia, OFC tour, etc. please bring your Olympus digital recorder that you bought from Al and make some recordings. It would be really cool to include a group jam on an upcoming OFC CD. Sorta like the third LP in Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" box - ok most of you are too young to remember that. Granted, these jams probably sounded WAY better to us late at night and strumming with our drunk buddies than they ever would reproduced on disc, but why not give it a try.

I agree. Think of what you want to perform in October and email _________ and say "how about playing lead for me" or "how about adding harmony". We could walk away with some cool cuts. We'll have at least a couple of good drummers there too.

Wow, I am humbled and impressed by the talent and skill of the OFC musicians!

Serge, my son wants to know what instruments are in your Makada. Did he hear a mando in there?

I've just recieved and listened to all three volumes of the Members Night Out CDs. I am completely blown away by the incredible talent represented by this community. And not just the excellent guitar performances (which I expected), but the vocals as well and the songwriting abilities of those who contributed original pieces.

Thanks to everyone who lent their talents to all three CDs. You've set the bar high. I've gotta practice a lot more.

Great stuff everyone. Well done.

I'd love to make some comments, but not 18 of them and I don't want to leave anyone out.

So I'll leave you all out.

One comment on Bobbo's kid's tune though, he should be proud of that one, it's good. Very Petty-like.
