From the Founder of Blueberry in regards to this thread:

Oooh, quite the thread, thanks Keith - by the way, we split the money 50/50 with the Balinese and it was the Balinese that posted the video because they are proud of their work.

Anyhow, there is no pleasing all the people all the time, so we just march onward.

Best regards,

Danny

You know, they should sell those guitars at Pier One Imports, between the carved teak tables and the silk ficus trees. Perfect target marketing.

exactly

no one said they were not proud of their work.
I really don't care who gets the money.
I find the working conditions deplorable.
ultimately you either like these or hate these.

Help Wanted- seeking inexperienced, uneducated hairy barefoot native wood carver for entry level (literally ground floor)position at high-end musical instrument maker. Pays Balinese minimum wage ($2 day). Benefits include one unpaid holiday per year, free wood shavings, and annual malaria shot. Must provide own tools, tarp to work on, and should be able to take a good beating, or be willing to learn. Must be willing to undergo routine drug testing, as we find that drugs make working conditions that much more bearable.

exactly spam this site with an item for sale that belongs to NO ONE and has no business being posted here. then get pissy because the business practices of the company are looked at with scorn.
Then someone involves the importer of these guitars for no reason at all but to throw more logs on the fire.
how about taking this whole mess to dingleberryguitarfanclub.bomb? oops that does not exist why? probably not enough interest, so go from site to site posting stuff for sale trying to increase interest in an item. Wow marketing in the cyberworld.

I am guilty of leaving EXP's on for Months!
But some of my guitars are in slow 'rotation'...
So long as they still sound good I just let 'em ride! :D

Just the name "Blueberry Guitar" is a deal breaker for me right out of the box never mind all that other stuff you all been going on about.

I seconded TAFKAR's motion to hit this one on the head a long time ago...

I don't think it's any kind of plot (as has been suggested...). It's just an innocently posted thread about Balinese carving (that most of you seem to hate.... which is cool) that got ridiculously out of hand and took on a life of it's own.

Hope I'm not going to get the blame for it going into extra innings here.

I was under the impression that you all had Miles on your speed dial and I'm sure he would be more than happy to pull the plug on this dog if someone asked him to...

They were originally gonna go with Banana Guitars, but decided the name had too strong of a sexual leaning.

Joe, I am aware that there are two admins here... but as Al was in here swinging away with everyone else, I thought he would rather recuse himself from pulling the plug for fear of looking biased (made sense to me...?).

That is the only reason why Miles name was mentioned. I am getting fed up... making totally rational suggestions... and having my ass kicked everytime I do.

It is just a suggestion.... take it if you want... if not, continue to have everyone here and their dog bitch about it ad infinitum!!

You do seem rather intent upon playing martyr though and talking about yourself a lot - what’s that about.

I don’t think that anyone is out to get you so much as you think they are - it’s more like you just keep setting things up to look that way
