there's a story behind that pic.
That's a real guy and he is, ah, a wee bit simple. Those aren't his arms. They hired a real banjoest to play and had him crouch down behind and stick his arms through the coat. Steve knows who the guy is, met him a few years back.

Hope you guy's realize I was only joking.
The only thing that they have in common is they are both playing a banjo righthanded!

Bob, I've heard you play, you could rent your arms/hands out!

He sure will be missed. You haven't lived until you've heard killer leads worthy of the best electric shredders played on banjo. He's a helluva guitar picker, too.

Add in that he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Guess when you make your stage debut at the age of 12 at the Grand Ol' Opry you got nothing else to prove.

Well heck, I think it's time to throw my banjo away.

(OK, here's the opening for all of your banjo jokes.)

Now that was good. I had never heard the one about the deaf people before. And the "recently tuned" one was new to me too, although that one kinda reminds me of that ebay add where the guy was talking about "rusty strings but it still sounds good". (I actually had a lady try to sell me a guitar once and she thought that because it still had the original strings it was worth more. )

A capo allows the banjo player, once out of tune in one key, to quickly be out of tune in any other key.

Q: Why do banjo players leave a capo on the dashboard?
A: So they can park in the handicapped parking spots.

I remember seeing him in a YTube clip where he is ACTUALLY SINGING!

After 20+ beers that afternoon at the Wimberley Inn I don't recall him ever singing a single note ...yet I swear in this video he does!
