I think you're too late Miles! Al seems to be able to create these beauties and sell them in a flash, so I figured he must be plotting a 3rd (or 4th if you include the Koala). Lucky for me the OFC II didn't trigger my GASometer, but I'm still paying off my 1680 anyway. If he does come up with something that gives me GAS, I need a long lead time to work on SWMBO.

TAFKAR, guess you weren't paying attention...

It's unlikely we'll see anything like these again. As per the first post, Al (as usual, but not often enough) was at the right place, at the right time. "When I was up at the factory a couple of weeks ago I was told about a few bodies and necks that were built but never assembled. I was intrigued. I asked some questions, made some calls and struck a deal to offer you this limited edition guitar. "

Those that got them are lucky.

I'm assuming you got mine hidden in the back room until we can finalize everything!

Great guitars guys......probably the last of the breed.

upon seeing it in person I was blown away with its looks. I didn't get a chance to play it that long, but just couldn't get over how lightweight it is. It is loud, and has great sustain. I think it's just an excellent example of a high tech Adamas
This was the first guitar I picked up to play off of TnT's wall at his house on Saturday when we got together ...and it was the last one I put back on the wall before leaving. I have played a lot of guitars and a lot if Adamas's before...it takes a lot to impress me...but I was absolutely blown away with this guitar...it plays like butter (really!), has big volume if you need it or it can whisper deceitfully restrained...the bass is huge and yet the overall sound is balanced...the looks are so stealthy yet it gleams like a new gloss obelisk...the small inlaid position markers on the side of the neck are 3-D like...and the inlaid pearl Adamas logo against the gloss black headstock is elegant w/a capital E. I also liked being able to switch the OP Pro for the IDea preamp and have a backup jam to practice lead riff's to.

Has anybody had a chance to try out the boost button yet?
Yes Brad, I did and it works great...nice added feature. I can see the advantage while playing live to just press the boost button and launch into a lead riff...

Another very nice unique feature is the open back tuners...really fits well with the overall high tech look and feel of the OFCII guitar...

In a word (and I told Tim Saturday) I was hooked...
In fact, I was so impressed that first thing this morning (after a 9 hour drive back home yesterday) I called Al and arranged to get one of my own...The guitar is that incredible...I believe I have the last standard neck...at least one wide neck was still available...

I can't thank Al enough for having these built and offering them to the OFC...it is way better than anything else out there...and I can hardly wait to have it here in house...

yup you got the last standard neck

although #1 could probably be had if the price was right. I have no real preference for wide or standard neck so if someone wants #1 we can negotiate it out.

as for the open back sperzel tuners.... I told you so!!!!!!

There's lots of things that will be gone in 6 months. That alone is not reason to buy them.

I own the Custom Shop Proto that the OFCII was based upon (minus the boost button, plus total gloss finish) so the OFC II's should go to other homes.

2080 CUSTOM SHOP

I believe Al also has the last 2008 Collectors available on the market also. I just did a pretty extensive search and his was the only one I could find in the states.
