The problem, as I see it, with a guitar that has a colour scheme is...you have to dress TOO the instrument. Really! Jason. "Blue and green should not be seen!" Do Tup & I have to teach you all how to dress? Don't your wives (Or partners) teach you these things? I mean, REAlly! ![]()

No. It was the Tequila. I got up too late(er) on Fri. morning, and missed Al t'hand it off to him and get it to the Factory early. Darren was nice enough t'say that I could bring it up ANYtime (like when I come up t'visit w/Beal) and he'd do it for me, or I could just wait 'til NextYear . . .

It's going in my collection of pics of that guitar. One of the things that I really enjoyed in CT was letting everybody who wanted to, play that guitar. If Clifford could pass around #54 which is worth more than twice my OFC slothead, then letting everybody play my guitar was the least I could do.

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 5567 Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Cool pic Jason...BTW, I enjoyed meeting you and glad you were able to make it after all the problems...You hit the nail on the head...where else could a guitarist go for several days and end up playing just about every fantasy Ovation/Adamas one could dream of (for me: #47, Woz's Adamas 12; OFC/Lost Art Koa; etc...) I would love to have played Paul's OFC Slothead and maybe Cliff would have let me play #54, but I was too new to know the details...but perhaps down the road...Still, what a trip it was....IF ANYONE IS SITTING ON THE FENCE ABOUT COMING TO THE TOUR, WHY? It is such a special time and I can't thank Al and Miles (and the usual suspects) for doing this for us! Blessings...

I saw it getting passed around the lobby on Thurs. nite, and I'd assumed it had made it's way t'you . . . sorry 'bout that. Just LemmeKnow, NexTime . . . .

Cliff's guitar is irreplaceable, and yet it was given no obvious deference over any of the others. Nonetheless, when it was my turn, I felt very honored to play it. I think that makes six original slotheads I've now had the good fortune to play.
