Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | I'm hardly an authoritative source, but I would be thinking $400 to $500. I didn't see what the 1157 on eBay brought last night, but it was at $325 when I checked with an hour to go. And that was a seller with "0" feedback and lousy pictures.
For some reason, unless the particular model has special interest, old (20-year-plus) Os don't seem to go for more than $500, no matter how good a shape they are in. I'm not sure the Anniversary model will draw that much interest, even though it is beautiful.

Location: Tennessee | The Anniversary is a very nice guitar, with the added exposure of being on the cover of John Lennon's new CD, Acoustic. That may pop up values a bit right now, but I'm afraid Roger is dead on in his assessment that Ovations seem to have a cieling price unless there is something very special about them. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | stonebobbo, your eyes are waaaay sharper than mine.....I didn't realize that JL was playing an Anniversary on the cover of the CD, I thought it was a 1617-7 Legend(which may not have existed, I haven't checked). Looks right, though.

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | stonebobbo, Roger on that.....I just fondled/played the 1157 I mentioned at the shop it resides at yesterday evening, and it did have all that.
The $425 is with a gig bag, not the original case. I missed that when I've looked at it before.
I had some thoughts on why old Ovations seem to have a "ceiling" on price. Approaching it as a person who wants a good U.S.-made Ovation and doesn't care about age, only price and condition....if you get too much above $500, you start to get near buying a NEW S771, which is commonly $700 street price.
This is probably why the ceiling exists....if NEW quality- and functional-equivalent guitars can be bought for $700, why would you pay that (or more) for an older one? Only if there is something special about it.
