I watched most of the the Crossroads concert and was really impressed. Best damn Blues, Country and Rock jammin' and combos of players I've seen televised in a long time. Obviously, the lead guitar of choice or usage was the Strat- (loved Clapton's custom designed one)and then of course Tele's. Saw a glimpse of many cool and expensive guitars on the back racks and course GC got the extra PR mileage out of PBS. I did notice that Joe Walsh's black beret, unshaven face, bright yellow and green oversized Jimmy Buffett shirt, baggy pants and yellow sneakers kind of reminded me of Al P's mode of dress from pics I've seen. Is there some special collection you guys buy from or is it your own? : ) Also, Joe W. still has that weird 1960's drug induced facial expressionism he always had! Did catch a nanno-second glimpse of a woman backup guitarist playing an O of some sort but that was all I did see. Play On!

As far as I know Joe Walsh was shot in the head when he was younger; thus the weird speech and facial expressions.

Joe Walsh is a good friend of one of the local DJs (Gene? Geovani? (sp?)) on KLOS and one time Joe sat in for him as a DJ. Anyway someone called up and was giving Joe a ration about being stoned while he was on the air. Joe's answer was that he talked funny because he was shot in the head in a hunting accident.

BTW Joe does talk strange, he slurs his words and he has poor control over how fast he says certain sounds. Makes him sound like a record player that has lost it's speed control.
