when you click on the eBay response button - the eBay account is out of Singapore; actual seller of item appears to be a good guy, recently posted on OFC; air ambulance driver. Don't let greed cost you money. Too good to be true usually is.

Probably, since those transactions tend to be of a much higher $$ value than the typical ovation deal. Not to mention the Taylor and Martin owners are not nearly as smart as Ovation and Adamas buyers. :D

no, this isn't Hector and Hector wasn't involved in the fraudulent offer...not sure if Hector ever sold the guitar.

this is someone else, again not the seller who is a member of the OFC. checking on eBay, looks like this auction completed. so, 2nd offer to get your money, you don't get the guitar.

Some of these "second offers" especially on high ticket items are just frauds. The scammers browse ebay and find people who bid high amounts on an item, but still got outbid. These people are targets because 1) they wanted the item and 2) were willing to pay a lot of money for it. They will off to set up what they call "a secure ebay tranaction" and get you to send them the payment. Of course you never get the item and because the fraud second chance offer was not actually through ebay, you really have no recourse.

It happens to all kinds of stuff. I bought a style 4 Weissenborn ($4500) and somebody in Italy picked up the pictures and was offering it again. I've been lucky so far, knock on wood. I've made sure I knew enough about what I was bidding on to know it was real, checked out the seller as much as possible, steer clear of the rookies, and pass on it as soon as something gets weird, like second chances, relistings etc.
Not fool proof but has worked so far.
