This guitar sold for over $3000. This is much more thatn the 1687's have been going for. Anyone care to speculate why?

Right buyer at the right place with the right seller and the right guitar.

There's not always a good explaination for this kind of stuff. About a year ago, Deacan and Preacher 12 strings were selling for $1600. Don't know if you could get that now.

Ebay has it's own particluar foibles & It's a waste of time using ebay as any kind of yardstick as to the value of any guitar. Having said that, $3k is the kind of price these guitars should be fetching given their quality & relative rareity.

Recently a minty deacon 12 went for $1800.00.Had original case and owners manual. So the $1600 was not a fluke..Im glad to see the adamas' creaping up in price..$3000 for a nonslothead is great especially right now while were in a buyers market..

And as the person who dropped the $1800 on the mint Deacon 12, I have to say I could not be happier. Worth every penny to me and I am the only one who matters!

Got to mention my campaign for a Constitutional amendment allowing marriage with our guitars.
