Well fortunate for me Al Lostart/Vintage was online also and was able to sort a deal with him for the above. Well the Elite arrived yesterday in the UK at 2.37pm considering Al had posted it on Friday the 5th Nov and having to clear Customs etc that was really neat. Al hope you see this message I have not put the guitar down what a sound, action great Tone & Balance also plugged in through amp I could not believe it was me playing, and as Al said it was in Mint Condition and well Packaged. Many thanks to you guys who confirmed to me that Al was worth doing business with. I will direct others to look at his website. After Import Duty and VAT I still got a great bargain Thanks again Al 1st Class :) :D ;)

Did you investigate the duty and VAT before you went ahead and if so canyou point me in any direction to find out the information. Also did you have to pay extra carriage back in the UK? Hope you don't mind my questions but I get really pissed off with the prices of USA guitars over here, and often they don't come with a standard hard case as another "shortcut". Cheers Terry

The sound reverberation inside lasts a full eight seconds. A few years over 100-years-old, and it's only about two-thirds complete. Some years ago, when construction ceased because they couldn't afford to bring stone-cutting craftsmen over from Europe, they took-in many of the homeless and drug-addicted locals and taught them to be stone carvers - many of which who've taken their craft on to assist in architectural restorations throughout the country . . .

Joined: November 2004 Posts: 10 Location: United Kingdom | Hi Terry regarding my purchase I went through a guy called Al who has a store in New Jersey there is a link to his webpage on this site called LostArt/Vintage intruments I was happy with the shipping costs I did have 3.2% import duty to pay plus the normal 17% VAT. Overall I saved a great deal and true to his word Al told me the Guitar was in mint condition and it was with original Ovation Case. It took 4 days to get to me including clearence I also payed a small fee of about £8 to carrier on this side. But with all the above a got a great guitar and and saved loads on what it would have cost me to get the same over here, would recommend Al the service was 1st Class well packaged also. If you are thinking of buying an Ovation you may want to touch base with him no I am not on commision just very pleased with the service hope this helps. Worship Leader many thanks for your comments I am sure this guitar will give honour to Him do you think if I pray for an Adamas I will get one Lol :) :) :) Len
